If someone throwing a jersey on the ice is what it takes for this team to play like they did on Sunday and tonight, then please, someone throw some more jerseys.

Kadri may have woken up the team. He had a good game aside from a few okay shifts

What player in the NHL would be happy with a fan thrown a jersey onto the ice? Every player interviewed about the incident was upset about it.

Perhaps the players should come at the problem from the point of view of the fan "What set of circumstances caused this fan to throw a sweater onto the ice in order to show his disgust at what has happened to a once proud franchise."

Although I imagine that that kind of introspection is close to impossible for millionaires in their early- and mid-twenties.

I think that they played horribly and will not defend the team, but I will defend Kadri as he was the only player with the balls to stand up and tell the fans how he felt. That by the way is pride and leadership!

Dion also said how he felt - that they needed to put forth better effort.

Leadership = taking responsibility.

It's all relative though. Percentage wise just how much more would they make in revenue if they made a play-off run to the finals?
1%?,10%?, 25%? I mean what's another million when you make a billion?

A line that has never been said by any Business ever.

None.....and Kadri was the one who stepped up and spoke for the team...that is pride and leadership, something he is accused of not having...:laugh:

Stepped up? If by stepping up you mean he answered a question that was asked by a reporter, then yeah I guess you can call it "steppng up".

Speaking of stepping up how about that Dion 3 points in 4 games... now that is a guy who is clearly underrated.

Stepping up clearly means telling the fans to go piss off. :shakehead

I remember reading in the Globe and Mail Monday a reporter said something like "Kadri, guess what, that's the way all the fans feel".

Imagine, the gall of a fan being upset after all these years of abuse. It's a wonder anyone buys tickets any more considering the ridiculous prices being charged for the half-assed efforts they've put out so often.

Article should read: "Jersey-Tossing Fan Not Impressed With Kadri"

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!

I'm sure the fan doesn't toss his jersey on the ice if the Leafs are playing well. They lost badly against Pittsburgh, and, even worse, they lost to a huge rival in the Habs!

I put my Leaf t-shirts away last spring after that horrible free fall out of the playoffs. I won't burn them, or throw them away, but, I surely won't wear them until I can wear them with pride once again! :(

Kadri and his mates are the ones to blame for the jersey tossing in the first place. PLAY BETTER HOCKEY!

Grasping at straws. Him and his line have been arguably the most consistent this year. Oh wait, this is another hate on everything Kadri thread. Do go on.

Funny thing is I never once mentioned that Kadri was responsible for the victory. Just said he had a good game aside from a few not so good shifts in the 3rd.

Remember though Nazem has to be perfect or he didn't have a good game

Yes what a great D man....3 points in 4 games...2 of them on the PP...but he has also been on for 3 PP goals against!

Posts no points, yet he's still indirectly responsible for the victory. Makes total sense.

I've been impressed with Kadri with his last two games. Points don't always tell a story. Get your head wrapped around other aspects of the game.

Yeah that's nothing compared to Kadri. I mean OMG the guy answered a question posed by a reporter. Guys growing into a leader before our very eyes. Messier eat your heart out.

I for one think he deserves a pat on the back, I mean he lost his crutch when Gunnarson left, it was Gunnarson that was the reason why Phaneuf played so well right? Wasn't it? As silly as it sounds some people on here would have us believe that Gunnar propped up Dion and not the other way around...

Well if PK can win a Norris for being a one trick PP specialist I'm sure you can give Dion credit for his newfound PP specialist role. BTW in that season PK scored somewhere around 2/3rds of his points on the PP and look at Dion this year 2/3rds of his points are on the PP... well look at that... Dion is scoring at a Norris winner rate.

Cheers to Dion for stepping up .. :D

That guy who threw his jersey on the ice a few nights ago should feel like an idiot now.
