The Leafs tank job was textbook. No shame at all.

Most points for a last place team in the history of the NHL. They did it right, moved the veterans they needed to move, but didn't completely gut the team to the point it would take forever to rebuild (see: Buffalo).

I personally think JVR won't end up like the Ladd/Eriksson/Lucic kind of contracts. Jvr doesn't rely much on physicality or speed in his game so he should most likely age pretty well into the deal. If he's signed for around 6/6.5 mil for 6 years than I think it would be a good deal

Eriksson doesn't rely on speed or physicality either. He is a mostly net front presence offensively and terrific defensively.
