Incorrect on the 7th D..

The 'couple of forwards' is 3, to fill out the top 12. We're almost guaranteed to need some kids to step up... or sign a bunch of crap

Edit: Think the 15mil is already factoring in Fast, so it's just 2 more forwards

Figure $4M for Brassard, $2.5 for Kreider, Moore at $1.5M and that leaves you $7M to sign Zuccarello and fit two more forwards. Have to think Kostka is penciled in as the 7th D for now. Unless someone gets dealt, I think the Rangers are looking at praying some kids can make the jump.

So best case scenario we have ~4MM on Free agents and worst case we have ~(2MM)

Someone said we traded possession for PP firepower, well no not really because Dan Boyle may or may not make the PP better.

Stralman made the defense better, we already know that from experience. I'm not saying they would have signed Stralman anyway, but you can't look at this as a swap because right now whether or not Boyle makes the PP better is still a question mark. One that I am not exactly getting my hopes up for.

Nah, you have to figure that Miller, Fast, Allen, Mcilrath are all possibles on the upcoming roster.

Agree on 10-11 for the RFA trio.

Still have to sign J. Moore. Leaves ~3M for one or two players. Goc, Roy, Setoguchi, etc...

We wasted 1.5M on someone who won't play. At this point 1.5M is a ton of $ given our current situation.
