Am I the only one to actually like Julien ?
I think he's better than he's given credit for though I hate some of what he's done. Can't disagree that he's gotten a lot out of a roster than had no business being near the playoffs though.

That being said, I think it's time. 8 games without a win, KK isn't performing and he's probably the most important player in the lineup right now and the one I'm most worried about.

Yeah, the meeting apparently never happened. It's being reported that Hartley was in China at the time.

Everyone will be a detective at this time. Hey, look at Bergevin, he was seen talking to Tretiak!

Pretty sure they never spoke: Laraque is a fraud.

What the hell would Hartley do better than Julien exactly? Post-game scrums?

Sometimes, when it's real late and I feel the dead of night slowly wrap its cold arms around me, I can hear Marc saying faintly on a loop, " It's a retool-- retool."

He's not a bad coach, the issue is every time he faces adversity, at least coaching the habs, he seems to drop the ball very easily. Just like his predecessor he picks rule of thumbs and granny old sayings to fix his line up issues and doesn't seem to rely on modern tooling too much to get good game per game strategies. Beating a particular team in the regular season shouldn't be that hard if you analyze what they do and plan ahead. However, this team cares more about "going back to basics", "shoot the puck", "puck luck", "grind deese guys" and the likes. All very inefficient sounding game plans.

I feel that when we had a good strategist behind the bench those slumps were ending quicker. Right now we don't have anybody, it kinda shows.

Are the players trying to get the coach fired by playing like sh..? Are they tanking on their own initiative? Julien is not a mean disciplinarian. They should look at themselves Blabcock screwed up with better personnel and deserved dismissal.

The real question is who keeps the line blender if Julien is fired? Does he take it with him or leaves it in the office for the next guy?

B's fan coming in peace. As someone who advocated for 2 years for his dismissal, I find the conversation here amusing. Seems like everything those of us who wanted him fired in Boston for he took with him north. Line blender, penchant for fringe players, sending out the 4th line grinders instead of the first line, etc.

He was the same in Boston and is doing the same in Montreal, he is a nice coach that supposedly wants to understand the youngsters, BUT he doesn't have the patience to work with them long enough, he seesm to get frustrated with Prospects more than Veterans doing the same mistakes.

That's what we said! Veteran player makes a mistake and nothing happens. Prospect makes the same mistake and he's in the press box for a month

Before seeing the update from Hartley, came here to say that Carbonneau or Boucher will be coach if he tried to lure Hartley.

Recycle, recycle.

Dark times. We've got a PP line that has both Jordan Weal and Nick Cousins up front on it. I'm not even sure if they're in on most NHL teams, let alone their PP.

The worst part is our GM tends to prefer these guys over talented guys too. So we're double whammied.
