The Next Core Member to Lock Up: Josh Norris

He 100% compares to O'Rielly so sign him ASAP. Norris is a damn fine player.

Then all PD will have left is Stutzle, Formenton, Pinto and Sanderson eventually. And Zub too at this rate.

Probably looking at a 6yr x 6.875$mil per, which I think would be a steal in 1-2 years from now.

I don't think Norris will want an 8 year deal. Probably a 5-6 year deal in order to secure another bag later on although he doesn't come off as a money hungry guy, he's way more laidback and humble so maybe that works in our favor for negotiations.

Make it 7x$6.8M and i'd be all over that, but we need to sign him now, if he explodes this year he'll be asking for 7.5M minimum, especially given who represents him. PD needs to move quickly on this and not wait until late summer. Zub and Pinto should be signed next summer as well before they get too expensive, as soon as they're allowed to negotiate, I really hope he locks them up a year early so we have that security and peace of mind, we're gonna bump against the cap very quickly.

That would be a miracle, can't see it happening. That Batherson contract looked amazing when he signed and even better now. Norris would get 6m on a 3 year bridge with the way he's going and nothing less than 7m long term

I doubt Batherson’s deal has much impact. Comparable are young top 6 centres.
Work from Suzuki, Pettersson, Reinhart, Dubois, Point, Cirelli.

His stats will most assuredly be lower than Point and Pettersson so I’ll take them out.

Reinhart - 3 x 6.5
Dubois - 2 x 5
Suzuki - 8 x 7.88
Cirelli - 3 x 4.8

Looking at those 4 I would say between 5-6 on a bridge and around 7.5 long term if he hits 60 points.
