Eberle doesn’t need to be a playoff performer because we’re the islanders and we don’t make the playoffs.

This definitely seems to be lost on a lot of my fellow Oilers fans, somehow.

You can't choke in the playoffs unless you qualify for them first, and given that depth scoring was a huge problem for Edmonton we probably could have used Eberle.
