Good for Ortio! The guy earned this call up!

Doubt he gets a game, unless Berra ***** the bed... (actually, that is quite possible).

Yeah, I've been waiting for this! Just let him play at least couple of games, please.

Give him a shot. If he wins, great! If he loses, great - this team is playing its way out of a lottery pick. :sarcasm:

FLAMES' RAMO SUFFERS MCL INJURY; OUT UNTIL AFTER OLYMPICS

The Calgary Flames may have to do without goaltender Karri Ramo for a while.

The 27-year-old Finn suffered an MCL injury during Saturday night's game against the Minnesota Wild and will be out until after the Olympic break.

The Flames called up goalkeeper Joni Ortio from the American Hockey League's Abbotsford Heat.

In 29 games with the Flames this season, Ramo has posted a 11-10-4 record with a .908 save percentage and a 2.66 goals-against average.

He has 22-31-0-14 record in 77 career NHL games with the Flames and Tampa Bay Lightning. He was originally selected in the sixth round (191st overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

Good thing about injuries is that we get to test the waters. Although we had a lot of injuries up front and should've seen more action from players other than Street.

Poor Karri Ramo. Playing so well, too. Good timing for an Olympic break, though. I am excited to see Joni Ortio.

We started Berra the day of his callup do we see Ortio tonight?

He's not starting tomorrow.

#Flames coach Hartley said Reto Berra is to start tomorrow against Montreal. Russell should be good to go.

Ortio seems like the anti-Finn. His English is phenomenal, he's bubbly and charismatic by all accounts, and wasn't afraid to tell Jay Feaster to keep him on the number one goalie radar coming out of camp.

Then there's this video of him imitating his coach . I don't even know what he's saying but it's hilarious:
