OK, no worries. You've been so reliable Brad that we'll let this slide.

BTW, it's come to my attention that the rules regarding the cap are perhaps unclear. The $50 million applies to only players on the roster, not the three "depth" players who are not on the roster. I believe I told wolfen that it applied to all players but seeing as money is rather tight with all three of my teams, especially the Ducks, I think we'll have to be a little laxer on the rules just to make things easier for ourselves.

So is the roster just the 20 players (4 lines/3 pairs/2 goalies)?

What do you define as depth players? Could I have a veteran as one of my extras? I assumed the cap was applied to the full 23-man roster.

*sigh*

I could've built much stronger teams if I'd known this earlier...

even if you'd told me before my turn came up just now, I would've drafted differently. Before the rules changed, the bruins couldn't afford jeff carter.

anyway, I'm done complaining, but could we have some sort of salary limit for the reserves? To avoid people loading their bench with players like shanahan?

You guys are right that this would've affected draft strategy. How about we put in a cap for the three players of $3 million?

I'll make my picks shortly, okay?

So, is it okay if we don't fill the starting 20 up first? I've got a few inexpensive players that I'd like to use as depth instead. This news certainly makes me happy. I've got a lot of room to work with now.

The Chicago Blackhawks have no clue to who is taken and not taken anymore. One thing they know is the cap room they have, and will post their roster soon. So, they select Derian Hatcher.

The Florida Panthers select Jonathan Girard.

If one of them is taken, please, let me know and i will re-pick.

Yeah it doesn't necessarily have to be the twenty players taken first that count towards the cap, because there was this whole mini-draft which threw things into chaos.

BTW, Jagr_68, I don't mean to be anal, but a PM would've been nice.

The Ducks are pleased to select right wingers Andrei Kastsitsyn and Igor Grigorenko, whom they feel are steals this late in the draft, mind you there are only 16 teams.

as i understand, the 3 reserves don't count on salary:If that is the case, the Florida Panthers draft Teemu Selane and The Chicago Blackhawks draft Shean Donovan.Since i joined late, i would like to know if there is restrictions other than salary on the reserves we take?Like games played. Also, John, sorry, I thought it was Shoalzie's turn to pick, I pm'd him.
