Thanks for picking Vikman—he was one of my options, but realized that I was overweighted with Swedish juniors. I can look elsewhere now.

I just picked him from Ristostadt mock, had no idea what else was left for a goalie really.

Solid team. Really like your middle-6 / hate the fact that you stole a lot of my guys (Miettinen, Bantle, Hardie, Tullio)

I will leave that up to other people. If other are interested in voting just for fun I am more than happy to put that together.
Maybe we can vote on things like best value pick, best boom/bust pick, and favorite "stole my pick."

My answer to all these categories is @OB5's pick of Veeti Miettinen haha
That gives me another idea—yes I am spending way too much time on this due to Covid.

Maybe each GM could nominate a "best value pick," with supporting thoughts.

See I would argue that Berard is similar to Miettinen in size and skill but has more upside because he is 11 1/2 months younger and plays with more edge. For comparison I would use Lehkonen and Gallagher.

Those guys are guys I have noticed are very popular on the boards and upon doing my own research I see why

I would like to thank mOpe for hosting, this has been a lot of fun with everyone being on top of every move. It was hilarious to read the comments after selections :)

@m0pe can you grant me the 201st pick of the draft? I'll take a certain someone whose first name rhymes with "Rick" to be in the press box.

Final line up for the Wellington Kiwis:

Lukas Reichel-Anton Lundell-Yegor Chinahov
Brendan Brisson-Thomas Bordeleau-Sam Stange
Will Cuylle-Maxim Krovyakov-Timofei Spitserov
Tomas Urban-Nils Aman-Senna Peeters

Wyatt Kaiser-Braden Schneider
Adam Willsby-Michael Benning
Ilya Solovyov-Jacob Flynn

Amir Mifthakov
Juho Markkanen

Looking back at the draft, I am really happy with some of my pick, but I kind of regret the ones where I went for need (coming from someone who really hate when the Habs draft for need).

Still really like Reichel-Lundell-Brisson-Bordeleau on my top 2 lines (really really really wanted Perfetti, but still happy with Lundell)

I also really like the right side of my D plus Kaiser on the left side.

Like others, I am pleased with the selections that were there to be picked and traded for. I wasn't exactly happy to trade away Askarov since moving Daws but the return brought me what could be the best defense in this draft as well as bolster the forward group.
I still believe the goaltending is very solid with the deal and that forward group is solid top to bottom, everyone is able to play up the line up with excellent skating and solid two way play.

Hey there, went through the teams and this is what I came up with.

I picked a couple guys from each team that I thought were solid bets throughout the draft, perhaps a bit on the underdog side but likely to out perform where they were selected.

In order of how I found the teams as I scrolled through. Team pages were nice lol.

Yarice - Benning, Mifthakov
Mcllamas - Savoie, Ramberg
mOpe - Novak, Miller
landy92mack29 - King, Garand
42jerks - Torersson, Persson
Flyersdad - Pytlik, Kubicek
Kent Nilsson - Robins, Moore
OB5 - Weight, Powell
Uncleben - Stranges, Styf

Top three to surprise in my estimation - Yarice with Benning, Mcllamas with Savoie and 42jerks with Torgersson. honorable mention - OB5 with Weight.
Note: I live in Sherwood Park where Benning and Savoie played and I have seen them a fair amount so there may be a little bias there ;)

So then I went on to look at the Forward, Defence and Goaltender groups and outside of my own team ;) which you all know is probably the best lol.. These are my picks, based on my own look at things.

Forwards - Mcllamas, 42jerks
Defense - Yarice, Mcllamas
Goal - mOpe, landy92mack29

Overall - Mcllamas
Honorable mention (in no particular order) Uncleben, Yarice, mOpe, landy92mack29, 42jerks, Flyersdad, Kent Nilsson, OB5 ;)

All in all this was an awesome draft and well worked by everyone, the teams are all so very close so it was tough to try and split things. Also just wanted to mention how good it was to see how everyone had some fun with picks made by others, especially when you were hoping to get them with your pick.

Awesome fun mOpe, props to you.
Ok I better get a little work done now ;)

I am offended Tapdog that I was not the best team ;)

In all seriousness though, while my D and G are little higher risk, I'd put my forward group against anyone else's :thumbu:
Bring it on!
