Didn’t stop pundits from calling the Oilers Stanley cup contenders/champs last season eh?

Tangibles goes to Tampa... better taxes!!!

Yeah and they were wrong and I thought those predictions and McDavid being on the cover of NHL 18 were also going to jinx us which it did (though not McDavid's scoring).

The Jets are stacked, so if they are first in the West and not playing their best while others are, y'all should be real concerned.
Maybe you're right, either way it's a fun storyline to follow to see how the Jets handle the pressure of expectations this year.

I wonder how the mighty Jets would look without Wheeler, Laine, Ehlers, and Buff?

What? Weird question, But okay

Scheifele is a better center than anything preds have. He's arguably top 10 centre in the league
Kyle connor is on pace for ~72 points
And 33 goals

Mp can play well in the top 6
Little is a 2c
Lowry's line is arguably the best checking line in the league.

Morrissey and Trouba is a good top paring
Kulikov and Myers would be the 2nd paring I guess

I know im not mentioning some other players but you get thebooint

They jets have depth regardles of your weird hypothetical

Yeah and it makes you think being the cover boy of NHL really is a curse? Subban is the current cover boy and he’s been injured awhile now this season!!! Oilers looking good since Hitch took the reigns that’s a good sign!!!

That’s like saying “bolts wouldn’t be so good without Kucherov McDonagh Killorn and Cirelli” yeah of course lol

Tampa and Peg both were surely exhausted from having to beat the other top-2 team in their conference in the previous round, which is why both lost to inferior teams in the conference final
Oh knock it off. Tampa gets a 3-2 series lead and rolls over like a dying dog in 2 consecutive conference finals trips.

LOL so Caps was an inferior team for Bolts?
I remember the GM6 and GM7, Bolts vs Caps 0-3 and 0-4. That's an inferior team:nod:

and previous round for Caps was piece of cake to beat Pens...

We almost won game 7 in 2016 and would have at least almost won game 6 if the momentum wasn’t decided by the stupid Drouin offsides call. And the reason the caps beat us was we couldn’t stop Ovechkin+Kuznetsov on different lines. Paquette+Callahan pretty much shut them down in games 3, 4, and the first period of 5, until the caps split them up. Kuznetsov had a phenomenal playoff run and Ovechkin is Ovechkin so that makes sense.
