This is their time
This is their year

I would like in to be 2-3 or4-3 game
Decided in the 3rd period scored by a one timer from Laine threading the needle to Captain Wheeler!!!!

You think Jets are the only team to blow leads?
Its happening on a regular bases this year to a lot of teams ... oh by the way the Lightning have blown 3rd leads against the Wild, Senators and Flyers.

I dont care about other teams blowing leads. Maybe the Lightning' fans are rattled to. Regardless, the jets have blown leads and lost disgustingly enough for me to not have confidence in them right now against a team like Tamp Bay Lightning.

I think we've played Tampa pretty well over the years. 20 games played, 10 times we won, 10 times we lost. 8 games went to S/O or O/T. For the last few years it's been pretty much a split in the season series minus the 15/16 season where we lost both in extra time.

I'm just pointing out the new NHL ... teams are not playing the shutdown 3rd period boring game. The first eight games tonight 4 third period blown leads and 5 OT games ... as a fan you got to love this excitement.
Seriously Jets have won 7 of 8 games on top of the western conference and you want to discuss the blown leads?

I'm glad a lot of posters on here, and other media outlets are saying how good Tampa is, and pointing to their stellar record. This will obviously get back to the Jets, and we'll see a huge effort from them -- "this game will be close, and a real "barn burner."

For myself, when I size up a game --I always look to previous matchups between 2 teams, as often history repeats itself. Some teams play better against certain other teams, for whatever reason ??

In this case since 2017 these 2 teams met ( 4 ) times, and each team won 2 times, and all games were decided within 1 goal.

Each team has won in the other teams building.

For the above reasons, and because the Jet's have home ice --I give them the slight advantage. I think the Jet's win this game by "one goal'-- but I would not be surprised to see Tampa win it either. These teams are closely matched. Both these teams are fast, skilled teams -very similar in style of play.

It will be interesting to see how the Sportsbooks have the odds set. I would think they have the Jets favored by a slim margin, because this game is in Winnipeg.

Really?
I would say the team started playing better from that point on.
Especially Mr Lion-ay
I know but the month prior was different and although we still had a winning record everyone seemed off.
I remember posting before the team actually left that I thought this trip was affecting the team and some thought it had no bearing on the sluggish start.
I’d prefer they don’t do this again.

I've converted this existing Pre-GT into today's GDT because nobody signed up to do one. Here is some background information courtesy of the Winnipeg Jets website...

Having hard wins, blowing leads but winning games, winning while not at our best, all terrific factors in December but terrifying factors heading in to April.

Today, winning like this keeps us from becoming complacent, tells us we have to improve, have to work on correcting mistakes, while also building our confidence for handling adversity and pulling out wins after losing leads.

When we get in to playoffs, blown leads are unavoidable, and knowing how to deal with them is everything. Dealing with those situations now and being successful will only help build our confidence for down the road.

Only bummer is Jets are playing their 3rd in 4 nights versus TB staying dormant since Thursday and it was a home game.

If Jets pull this off, huge. If they lose, understandable.

Excited for it, regardless.
