What is Shane Hnidy talking about in the pre-game show? "Andrew Copp's play allows Maurice to count on the 4th line to play more minutes."

More than what? Only thing I can think of is the 4th lines minutes with Cormier last game, but that's about it.

Of the 4th line Copp plays less minutes than either of his linemates, so how is it his play that gets the line more minutes?

Well, it was Hnidy, so you can pretty much translate that into "...mumble mumble oh fer sure mumble mumble absolutely mumble mumble..."

Cormier, Petan, Copp, Raffl, Thorburn, Peluso - it doesn't matter. Pick any three. No combination of 'not enough talent or not ready' suddenly becomes 'enough talent and ready'.

Now, what do normal teams do with the ones that are the most ready. They don't take a gaggle of not quite ready rookies, throw them out on the ice with one or two guys that can't play hockey, and expect them to develop into a bonafide NHL line. Put one or maybe two with an experienced NHLer and then they have a chance to develop.

4th line ES TOI vs MIN:

Copp: 8:18
Petan: 7:03
Thorbz: 6:47

Thorbz got :56 of PK time and Petan got :28 on the PP. No special teams for Copp.

Postma got only 7:42 total (all at even strength). Guess that's over...
