Not trading Puljujärvi. The kid will develop and the scoring will come. Todd was impatient and never used him correctly . He's going to make mistakes and he will but he's building confidence and everything will start falling into place. Blake Wheeler case and point.

Hitch is transforming him and providing him confidence. By seasons end people will scoff at some of the offers that are being made here.

This. I think we have seen glimpses have him potentially being an elite player in the league. Some shifts he just dominates out there. I think once he pots a couple of goals, he could go on a good heater. He's a big guy that can skate, that is defensive sound with a good stick. The guy was a former MVP of world juniors in his draft year. I think its just gunna take some time with him.

Value is another underperforming top five pick or solid middle of the road guy (trading upside for dependability). So... you keep him and hope he gets going.

So does that mean the Islanders can trade Michael Dal Colle and get Puljujarvi back?

Just wondering what his value might be at this point and if Edmonton would be willing to trade him? What would it take?
tampa doesnt need another winger. some team would pay a lot for him though. but i dont expect edmonton to move him.

I just love seeing Edmonton destroying young talented players after young talented players.

I mean, What could have been Yakupov if he had been drafted by Columbus ?

Sikura's a pretty good prospect.

Not that Puljujarvi is lighting it up or anything but Sikura is not a good prospect. He got way overrated. I would surprised if he eventually grabs a 3rd line role. The fact he couldn't make the team out of camp this year is a good showing of where he is organizationally and as a player. I think he got overrated after coming in and scoring 3 points in 5 games, especially in fantasy circles. The guy's another Dalpe/Cal O'Rielly, someone who's going to rack up some points in the AHL but never quite good enough to etch a consistent NHL role.

Disagree, the only reason he didn't make the Hawks is because Quenneville is a stickler for forwards playing good defense and he was lacking in that aspect. He's perfectly fine as an offensive player. The entire Hawks board is baffled why he's not up because he's better than the entire Hawks bottom 6 other than Anisimov. Brandon Pirri, he is not. Most Hawks fans would give him top 6 minutes over Kahun. Sikura is in the AHL for the sole reason of working on his defense.
