Finally, Kotkaniemi is not in the line-up today. With his loan being finalized yesterday, it's clear they probably want him to get some practices in with them before playing.

Prospects in action today:

- Leskinen at 10AM ET (KalPa vs. Hameenlinna)

- Kotkaniemi at 11AM ET (Assat vs. Ilves)
Remains to be seen is KK will be in the line-up. It's also a shame Ikonen is hurt again, because it would be KK vs. Ikonen.

- Norlinder at noon ET (Frolunda vs. Farjestad)

- Olofsson at noon ET (Skelleftea vs. Lonkopings)

And later tonight:

- Muskegon has another preseason game. Pitlick did not play last night. We'll see if he's in it tonight.

- Sioux Falls also has another preseason game. Smith wasn't in the line-up yesterday.

@montreal mentioned it in the "Where they play" thread that because a few teams opted out of the USHL season, players from those teams were taken by various teams and it's possible the first preseason games are to evaluate them, as well as other prospects before deciding who to cut. So it's possible with Pitlick and Smith pretty much guaranteed their spots, they may not play right away.

For those with "access" to Swedish and Finnish TV, who has the rights, and shows these games if we want to watch?

Is someone knows if Kk did some power skating like he did last Summer?

He did it for about 4 weeks and his skating was a lot better in August

Every player in the NHL has done a ton of power skating......it is not a bag of magic beans that KK discovered.....he likely has done it over most of his summers.

It's not that at all . He had some sessions with a specialist in Finland who helped some Nhl players. Did you see how he improved his skating from february to August...

Do you think that I dont know the nhl players do power skating...jees...

My question that you dont answer at all was that is kk continued his power skating sessions with that guy in September

Cmore Finland has a package that includes both SHL and Liiga. It isnt available outside of EU. Not sure if VPN works or if they have it blocked.

He said today in the press conf stream that he had an intensive 5 weeks at the gym and on ice. He was working with Raimo Summanen and (if I got it right) Janne Hänninen, who was a speed skater. So no figure skating like Barkov I guess, but skating none the less (it wouldn't probably hurt to work with a figure skating coach and improve the use of his blades more than just for speed) .

Edit:
By the way he MIGHT play on Thursday already, but that an away game, so first home game is on Sarurday.

“I feel that I still have quite a lot to learn. I'm only twenty years old. And I hope there are still a lot of hockey...”
“We'll probably be here for as long as possible. You don't really know what's going on in the NHL. Then everything is a little clearer when it comes to the formal decision and alignment of what is happening. Staying here as long as we can and enjoying it.”
“There have been attempts to forge force into the machine. Time has been spent in the gym and skating is improving at the same time. The main goal has been to transfer everything done in the gym to ice activities...”
