We're starting to form quite a queue of tweener guys who are a bit too good for the AHL, but not quite good enough to bump someone else off our NHL roster.

Hopefully Murray sees this as a golden opportunity to package a few of these guys to a team that needs youth in exchange for a decent NHL-calibre defenseman.

Thing is Da Costa is plenty good enough to bump someone off the main roster. It's just that Mac seems to dislike having him around despite his very good play during his last call-up. He should have been brought back as soon as the Olympic break was over to center the third or fourth line.

Too bad he got injured as he'd probably be here today, but I'm happy for Pageau. Doubt he centers the first line though, guessing they bump up Smith and proceed to kill Hemsky's offense lol.

I'm happy Pageau got the chance to come up again this year. I don't see a spot for him on our current team, but he still may be NHL ready. This could be a good showcase for him.

Ya, all three could be of the roster next year. We could have a lot of rookies with Stone, Hoffman, Lazar, Pageau and Borowiecki all in the lineup. Then we will after a few others that are barely past being rookies in Ceci and Zibanejad. The team already looks better with a few of them.

It will be important to keep them protected, as teams might want to take extra liberties with the rookies.
