Only got into 2 pre-season games. Not really surprised, but delighted.

Don't want him to get claimed because they might trade an asset for a replacement. Pronger and White on LTIR prior to achieve max cap replacement and then Timonen the day after?

This is going to be the least "tough" flyers team I've ever seen iced and its a shock when you consider who our coach and gm are.

I don't think Hextall is a fan of goons.

@DNFlyers: Looks like total about-face for #Flyers on role of enforcer. Berube said last wk he saw value in it. Hextall said no last nite. Hextall wins

And it's also a much quicker one than before, it looks like they're finally starting to learn. This on top of the fact that they're actually keeping picks and developing players, one might think that things will start looking up for us in the near future.

Did Rosehill sitting in the pressbox really make them "tough"?

No necessity for a goon.

Simmonds, Jones, Rinaldo or even Emery can fight a middle weight every once in a while to provide a spark.
And having Rosehill around did not prevent Lecavalier or Downie from getting punched in the face last year...**** happens with or without a tough guy in the lineup!

no but he is a good player to have when you play toronto or boston . Just to have someone like that you can ice is a good option to have.

I don't know how decreasing our depth and making the team worse is a good way to deal with one of the best teams in the Conference.

Toronto tried to outbully Boston and failed. Montreal has the correct formula: ignore them. Play hockey. Let them get frustrated that you're ignoring them.
