Seguin out for 3-6 weeks.

Eaves' x-ray showed no fractures, undergoing typical concussion protocol. Hoping for the best.

Hemsky might be out for a week or two.

Hopefully nothing torn for Seguin / just a sprain.

Still trying to figure out what Kulikov was thinking when he did that. Wasn't even the normal type of low shot where a player will skate backwards and catch the puck carrier low with his rear end, and he goes flying skates in the air.

Instead was like someone trying to throw a low block in football. Was there any bad blood between the two previously?

Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery for Tyler.

He is such a talented young player.

Panthers and Stars have had some rough games, but nothing specific that I know of.

Kulikov suspended for four games, missed one, so that's a total of five.

Sounds about right, in my opinion.

NHL's release on the suspension:

Hemsky listed as day to day, possibility of him playing on Thursday.

Aside from this minor injury, Hemsky staying healthy this year has been a fairly pleasant surprise.

Agreed.

Haven't seen him take a major hit yet though, and those seem to be what gets him most of the time. Wondering if his lack of production might be factoring into that, playing a bit scared almost.

Hemsky was always most effective when he was leading the rush and trying to carry the team (when he was all the Oilers had) however in doing so he often put himself into dangerous situations that would lead to him getting hurt. Is there a connection? Quite possibly, but it is mere speculation on my part since I have only watched him a few games this year.

Hello chaps, any update on Nichushkin? Is he in the same time frame as Nemeth?

Patrik Nemeth (lacerated arm) is scheduled to join Texas Stars for Friday game in Rochester and start to make his push to return to NHL.

Very good news, the sooner we get Nemeth back the better.

That will depend on who gets scratched to make room for Nemeth. Adding Nemeth doesn't help much if Jordie stays in the line up.

True, Jordie really needs to become our #7 as soon as Nemeth is back.

Have a feeling it will be Jokkipakka sent down schlemko as the 7th and Benn stays in

We have the roster space, so until Seguin comes back I wouldn't be surprised if we keep 8 D in Dallas.

Sceviour broke his nose last night, but since he returned, I'm assuming he's good to play with a cage.

Maybe Morin, not sure who else they could call up.

Anyone have any idea what happened to Moen?

Interesting.

Ya, interesting player. Nephew of former NHL Goalie Bill Ranford. Consistently puts up solid numbers & was a standout in Jr with Kamloops of the WHL (also owned by Tom Gaglardi as your likely aware). Kid went 209th out of 210 picked in his Draft year primarily because of his size. Only 5'10". And while thats not "tiny" it is problematical unless the guys a real standout like say Kane or whomever. Size unfortunately matters these days, and if your not pushing 6'2" or more, swimming upstream. He's feisty though, actually lost it & cross-checked a Ref while in Junior.... Doesnt take any crap. Great hands, good vision. Could do some damage.

Was aware of that, and it's probably the reason he got his chance with us at all.

Sounds like a pretty solid 4th liner, hopefully he can come in and add even more competition for those 4th line spots. We need all the fresh legs we can get right now, as well.
