Funny trade. Perreault was a late first rounder in 2020. He seems like he had stalled though. Maybe the change of scenery will be good for him. I liked Mysak, but he is one of many who have a chance to play on the bottom lines eventually, so no biggie. Not sure Perreault will do any more than Mysak.

Nice. Not major, but Mysak have no future with Habs. Good guess with a player like Perreault, more offensive potential than Mysak.

At 19 years old, Perreault had 37 pts in 55 games in the AHL, which is very solid production. It has gone downhill after that, not sure why.

I like it. Laval needed centers but Mysak was never going to be more than a fourth liner in Houles eyes. Forwards in general are a weak spot so a swap around for a younger, waiver exempt local guy is fine.

Seemed to have stopped progressing but he's 21 (for about a month still) and is talented. I like betting on talent, although most likely neither Perreault nor Mysak end up full time NHLers.
