I actually thought they played ok for the whole game. Their offensive chances obviously weren't clicking but the impetus to create the chances was there. The PP moves soooooooooo much better and faster than past years. It's almost frenetic in its pace. I think as they get more comfortable, they'll find the spaces they need to get free and itself start clicking.

This is the first time I've ever seen Victor Rask, this season. Never watched the WJs or anything. Was there really a doubt that he'd be an NHLer? His hands are really, really good and his skating is fine. He's not getting left behind. And he's real strong on the puck.

Patrick Dwyer was out to lunch in this game.

Cam Ward looks like a different goalie to me. He really looks confident.

He was really, really raw a couple of years ago. The kind of thing that leaves a physically talented player trailing a step behind everything at NHL speed.

He and Nash have both taken big steps forward this year.

Maniscalco's hatred for Alex Semin is getting ridiculous. I try to listen to the Aftermath show on the Fan but this guy is brutal to listen to. Semin has his best game of the year, had what looked like should have been a goal but Maniscalco wants him to shoot more, fight more and lastly...tries to put that non-goal on Gerbe.

Not sure if he can top what he said Tuesday about sending Semin to Charlotte.

Nash is real good. Rask is real good. We actually have some kind of depth, and an actual winning attitude. It's soooooo nice to see.

I watched Rask play for the Hitmen a number of times and thought he looked like he had a lot of upside.

Glad he's playing so well now. Looks like he might be a steal for where we drafted him in 2011.

Anyone remember why he fell? IIRC, he was protected as a top 10 pick that year.

Nash is real good. Rask is real good. We actually have some kind of depth, and an actual winning attitude. It's soooooo nice to see.

It's also nice to see management/coaching giving our "AHL guys" actual opportunities to succeed and earn more ice time, rather than using them for 5 minutes a game to plug injury holes on the 4th line.
