im not sure where this narrative is coming from. Rossi was seen as the sure fire bet, gonna be a hard working, high IQ center that’s gonna get you 60 points. He was the no brainer selection
quinn was the one year wonder, who has extremely high goal scoring boom/bust potential. Granted, his floor was always pretty good due to his good iq and defensive game
I think Quinn's appeal has a lot to do with his late commitment to hockey. If the scouts saw them as being close playing for the 67s it's not surprising why they picked him. I think he has a lot more upside.
Rossi is a stud but even as a smaller guy he was more physically mature and a more refined prospect.
Hopefully both turn out.
