J Schultz - how much does it still sting?

lol. i wonder if this phrase is here only so the mods don't get on your case hahaha :)

Actually no. I reserve wishing injuries on the people who actually deserve it...like rapists. The kid screwed my favorite hockey team over but that's not really worthy of constant physical agony. I don't like him, but I wouldn't send out a player to injure him if I was a coach.

In a way it does sting due to the complete lack of class he showed to the Ducks. However, I think he fits in well in Edmonton. They're not exactly known for much class as well (re: Lowe) and being one of the worst teams in the league AGAIN after back-to-back-to-back #1 picks just oozes poetic justice.

With that being said: I do hope he feels he has got a target painted onto his back whenever he plays against the Ducks in his career. Push him, shove him, make him feel uncomfortable even thinking of playing against the Ducks. He should be afraid of playing against us for the rest of his career.

Sadly I think this is an idea mostly shared by fans, with the players being ambiguous to the whole situation and Schultz. Unless BB or BM wants to make a point, I doubt Schultz will see any special treatment from us.

From the comments Getzlaf made last year at the select a seat I think the players are very aware of the situation and dont care for Schultz too much.

You know I'm still upset about what happen in the summer. I understand him wanting to leave to Edmonton, but I hate the fact he didn't let us know what he was planning to do. He was always given the highest respect within our organization and to see how he acted is really upsetting. I seriously hope Edmonton ends up falling apart. I honesty think they rush their young players too early and will end up destroying there careers.

Ambiguous?

I hope he gets booed every time he comes to Anaheim, and gets dumped, as well. Ultimately it's not really something to make it your life's mission to care about, though. I just ignore the Oilers like I always have.

It stings the way he left, not why he left. I think all of us understand him picking Edmonton. It stings because we know he's going to be a good player.

We're just waiting for the first game. Closure.

Classless piece of ****, but the Oiler fans pissed me off more then Schultz did by talking **** and praising him as the next coming of Christ.

Currently Anaheim has 10 more points than the Oilers in 1 fewer game played, Schultz is the one who looks like an idiot at the moment, Schultz has been on the ice for 14 ES goals against, and has only 1 ES point, right now he is a PP specialist until he becomes less "unlucky"

I don't think he regrets his decision. He's surrounded by other young talent and is probably having the time of his life. In fact, I'd imagine that seeing Anaheim doing so well simply makes him hate the organization even more.

I agree with this. He's playing well and being a "big name" to want to go to Edmonton he's probably living the dream right now. If the team manages to get it together then he'll love it even more.

Hope we can keep up our play, make him hate us.

What annoys me is that he became a top 5 prospect in the league when he signed with Edmonton. And what, he was also considered one of the biggest signings in the offseason? Last year at this time, no one cared about him outside of Anaheim. Few months later he's the biggest thing ever.

All these people talking about karma, hoping something bad will happen...sounds like bad karma on yourself, to me.

IMO, nowadays, money/short term interest is rated much higher than your word, this is a prime example. I think he thought that the Oilers with their young talent etc. will be a dynasty as they were in the old days and he forgot about the team that drafted him...

A few days ago I, watched an interview on youtube, where an ex NHL coach talking how he would get an much bigger salary with a different NHL team, but he already had shaken hands (NOT signed a contract) and went with the original offer he already agreed to.

So, I hope Schultz gets an really good, clean, "welcome to the NHL, kid!" hit.

I ain't mad... Pretty sure I live a more glamorous life in the newport beach area than he does in Edmonton...

I'm going to leave the door open for Schultz. If at the end of his first contract he realizes his mistake and decides to sign with us, i will welcome him.

Hope I was able to answer your question

I dislike him for how he went about leaving the organization. Don't really care if he has success now or not. Being good at hockey won't change character.
