Not sure I get that one. But, they had to sign him if they weren't going to trade for a top six winger with the loss of Eberle.

Happy these deals apparently cap out the Isles as a rival fan in division. I think they had the opportunity to actually improve their team and they've just gone parallel so now it is on their young talent to make them better.

Assuming Zajac & Parise are in the fold for 1MAAV or less each, NYI have some money left over (2-3M) even without shedding salary. If there are any moves forthcoming, it will be to address LD, which would otherwise rely on combination of a very old player (Greene), and an inexperienced player (Aho, Salo, or Bolduc).
