The Hall has been pretty strict when it comes to goalies. So I'd say no chance without winning a cup as a starter. Unfortunately I don't see it happening anytime soon.
Depends what he does with the rest of his career. He has a Cup, but didn't play a single minute in the playoffs in that Cup run. Twice helped his team to the SCF though. If he wins a Cup as a starter, that might seal it for him.
Can someone clarify. I thought Thomas was the starter when the Bruins won the cup?
The only playoffs he didn't play was when the Bruins won the cup and he's choked in every playoff he's played.
You can't call letting in easy goals in crucial moments choking? He was .940 in 2013 and .934 in 2019 when they had deep runs, I don't know how you can call those examples of choking.

Hasek didn't let in softies facing elimination in 6 playoffs though. If you want to, Hasek started game six with a total softie in '99.

Having good stats isn't the opposite of being a choker.Rask has elite stats in elimination games
Sorry no.

2010 - Bruins up 3-0 on Flyers in both the series and Game 7 of Round 2, loses 4-3 (on 27 shots)
2013 - Gives up 2 goals in the final minute to lose to the Hawks in Game 6
2014 - Gives up 4 goals on 28 shots in Game 6 and 3 goals on 18 shots in Game 7 against Montreal in Round 2
2017 - Gives up 3 goals on 29 shots against in Game 6 vs. Ottawa in first round, gets caught way out of position on OT winner
2018 - .896 in 4 straight losses vs. Tampa in 2nd Round
2019 - Gives up 4 goals on 20 shots, lets in 2 of 4 shots in the 1st period in game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals
Yes he should be, he's been of the best Bruins goaltender all time
