Flavien Conne
Born Apr 1 1980
Height 5.09 -- Weight 176
Selected by Los-Angeles Kings round 8 #250 overall 2000 NHL Entry Draft

The problem by Conne is that he is really small like Brière. His skills: He is a great face-off player, a great boxkilling player with average defensive play and is capable to score at any time. He is not a sniper but he know how to score.

Flaws: Like I already say he is to small for the nhl. And he is in the most things better than average but in nothing absolutly great. You can compare him with Riku Hahl former player of Colorado. Maybe Conne is a bit more a scorer and Hahl a ltitle bit better in physic play.

Career potential:4 line player or maybe 3 line...

No confirmation that he's still Kings property?

Erm folks some of this is really silly.

Germany and Switzerland are on about the same Level, with SUI a little notch better as of now. At this tournament, SUI got a good wave and they ride it now.
If Germany had beaten CZE in their first game, things may have unfolded for GER exactly the same way as they did for SUI. If Gerber and Aebischer had been hurt and Sturm and Hecht had participated, SUI might have been trashed and germany micht have scored 5 against Italy. You can't rate the big picture soley on one tournament. SUI's Team is quite old and Germany quite young. So many aspects to consider...

SUI stunned germany with their 4 points while germany once again didn't have the coolness and nerves to win their "must win" game against italy. Germany did well. They just didn't have that extra little bit of luck you need as an underdog.

You need to widen your horizon and take a hard look at rank 8-12. All of those countries are constantly improving, so the competition for that 8th slot in the concert of the big teams is fought fiercly for.

And it is a good thing that countries like CAN and CZE obvioulsy get worse. So the gap is closed from both sides which is a good thing for the sport.

But Germany do not play any more in the 16-elite! They may be the 17th nation for the 2006 all nations .

The swiss team was minimum 8th in the last 4 tournament (3 Worldchampionships and this JO). I think the Switzerland will be the 8th for a long time.
