Is Sean Couturier the PMD this team needs?

Couts would probably benefit from some time down on the farm playing 1C to regain some confidence, not like the Flyers are going anywhere

If we had a better AHL team, maybe.

Imagine he goes down and struggles there? What does that do to his confidence?

Couturier's value is too low right now to move him.
There is hope this is only a sophomore slump and he will turn into a stud shutdown center who can chip in occasionally on offense within the next two years. He is already struggling and any further experiments would probably only hurt his value and development.

Yep! Couturier can go on D and Del Zotto to Forward! Next we can use Grossmann as a net front presence. Oh and since Emery is stealing the starting job from Mason, Mason can be the savior of the defense as well. Maybe Luke can be the backup goalie.

I honestly don't think it would be bad for a game or two in an emergency situation where we need a defender. He already gets zero O zone starts per game and does heavy lifting from near and behind our net. I see no way he's any worse than Del Zotto, Schenn, or Grossmann.

But on a permanent basis is stupid.
