Considering this team is built to score, having your top 2 centers and 2/3 best forwards out would hurt significantly more than losing Rielly and Muzzin.
This seems like bad logic, if you are built to score, it means you have more scoring options on the team.Considering this team is built to score, having your top 2 centers and 2/3 best forwards out would hurt significantly more than losing Rielly and Muzzin.
Agree getting Rielly and Muzzin back (2 top-pairing D) is obviously a massive boost and is currently a huge detriment... however, we still need a 2nd starting G to tandem with Freddie and another top-4 D before we can own the league and take home a cup.One could argue it's more significant as these two play more minutes and a more important position than the centers.

Perhaps we are a good team and need to wait this thing out?

It also means that your defenders cause much more of an impact if missing from the line up.
I think it’s easier to survive missing your top two centres because of the way the Leafs are
constructed and that you can spread around the offensive duties to 12 forwards and clamp down defensively. So far it doesn’t look like the Leafs can weather the storm defensively with Rielly and Muzzin out.
