Is Jussi Jokinen going to go down in history as the shootout king?

Wish Gallant would stop putting him out there. Very predictable.

Predictability is not necessarily a bad thing. Frans nielsen only had one move until recently and even now he sticks with basically two (although he has 4 that he had broken out in the shootout).

But ya. Frans is the shootout king. Highest percentage among anyone with any significant attempts.

Anyone who has watched Jokinen knows he's been pretty bad at shootouts for 2 or 3 years now.

Yeah, it's been a long time since he was really useful as a specialist.

2006 - 10 for 13
2007 - 5 for 12
2008 - 2 for 4
2009 - 5 for 12
2010 - 4 for 9
2011 - 2 for 10
2012 - 2 for 6
2013 - 1 for 1
2014 - 2 for 9
2015 - 2 for 8

2006 = 77%
Rest of career = 35%
League average over this period = 33%

He's living on the reputation of literally one season when shootouts were first introduced.

Slava Kozlov made 58.7% of shootout attempts (27 of 46) before moving to Russia. I know its been a few years, but people tend to forget players too soon I think.
