His struggles in these last 3 games fits WELL on him. Cocky and arrogant like a baseball player. He is losing the goaltending battle and is the biggest reason it is 3-1 Vegas.

IMO the blame on Hellebuyck is pretty heavily exaggerated. In their three losses he’s had 1 goal each game that you might call a bad goal, mainly due to getting caught out of position rather than actually missing on a save.

Meanwhile you look at Winnipeg’s offensive production. You’re not going to win by scoring 1-2 goals a game.

No f*** off with Hutchinson he sucks. Put in that accountant guy from the regular season. I like the cut of his jib. In fact give him a contract.

Don’t think Hellebuyck has been that bad. Unfortunately for him, Fleury has been outstanding and if they lose, he will get the lion’s share of the blame because of it.

f*** no.

Hutchinson is a TERRIBLE goaltender at the NHL level. I'd rather start Mason than Hutchinson.

And as bad as Hellebuyck has been the last 3 games (and he's been bad, probably even worse on the eyes than the stats are telling us), I wouldn't start either over Hellebuyck.

it's this simple,

Jets have to win the next game.

Is putting in your back-up to try to mix things up a good idea?

No, that is a very bad idea.

Goaltending is not the issue.

In fact the Jets issue isn't one of effort or execution or skill etc, Vegas is simply the better team and just by a hair and that hair is enough to win.

Actually I take that back. Vegas are better because of the effort, it is non-stop and they are very well coached. It's crazy impressive to watch frankly.

The winning goal looked like an 80's game winner. When goalies never moved and just sort of shrugged at shots going by them. It may have been a perfect shot and Helle was helpless, but at the bar when it happened I called him Andy Moog and I don't regret it.

helle is a huge part of the reason this team made it this far. his goaltending in the first few rounds was spectacular. let him figure it out if he can. you wouldn't be here without him. largely the same team they were last year with way better goaltending.

That goal just looked wrong. Yes it was a good shot but the way he didn't move and like you say just shrugged. He should have had it, didn't, Jets lose.

Never had faith in Helle. I said from beginning of playoffs keep him on a short leash. He is not terrible but he needs to be better than that. Jets will never win a cup with mediocre goaltending.

But nobody was talking about mediocre goaltending in the first two series, right?

And the short leash would've meant Mason up next? They rode Helly all year, and through 2 rounds so they had to ride him in the third round. And this coming from someone who knows he could've been stronger the last 3 games but me anyways I'm not buying the short leash thing, difference of opinion.

He wasn't good in the first two series either. Jets just didn't run into a better goaltender. Difference of opinion, yet here we are down 3-1 and quite a few terrible goals from Helle. And yes, Mason up next I meant.
