Just for comparison's sake: my brother fractured his orbital playing baseball. He didn't know it at the time. The day after the injury, he woke up without vision. He was without vision for two days before (and I thank God every day) it came back. He did not need to have surgery to stabilize the eye, and now, while at a heightened risk for developing cataracts, his vision is fine.

Until I hear the "all clear" I'm not going to jump to conclusions either way.

Certainly good news he didn't need a visit to the ER. Obviously he's not out of the woods yet (for vision or concussion issues) but it's certainly a good sign that he skated off on his own and didn't need outside medical attention.

Guess we play the waiting game. I'm sure the area is swollen. Hopefully the brow took the brunt of the impact and we'll see him back on the ice in about a week.
