Proposal: Improving Oilers defence

Lately, there were rumor including Oilers and both Blues and Blackhawsk. I would like to know your opinion about theese trades:

To EDM: Parayko, Allen, Maroon
To STL: Nurse, Talbot, Spooner, 2nd round 2020

To EDM: Kieth
To CHI: Lucic, Yamamoto, 3rd round 2019

Oilers defence should look like:

Kieth - Parayko
Klefbom - Larsson
Sekera/Russel - Benning

I don’t see any deal of significance happening any time soon. What would be ideal would be to land a guy like Spurgeon IF the Wild decided to sell, but that ain’t happening when they have just as good a chance to make the postseason as we do. Fast forward to the trade deadline and if they’re on the outside looking in and have already moved Staal then maybe he’s available.

That’s really the only big game fishing we should be looking at - a guy available for futures (in this scenario) who has an additional year under contract. When his deal expires, Bouchard is ready to play in the top 4.

Any monster deal is either unrealistic or would require moving a key piece. We’re not deep enough to do that type of deal.
