It depends on which numbers were available. If I had my choice of any from 1-99 I'd choose 28. If I was on a team where that was taken I'd probably go with 82 or 62.

29 would be my first choice, if I couldn't take that then I'd probably go with 88.

34 is my favorite number.

Second choice would be 90 - my football number in high school (I was a DE)

I'm a traditionalist when it comes to jersey numbers, so I'd be wearing a low number. Preferably #10 if I was a forward, #4 if I was a defenceman. I think I wore #16 when I was a kid (wanted #21, for obvious reasons, but it was unavailable), hard to remember something like that more than a dozen years later though.

Numbers above #29 are for goalies and AHL call-ups.

97 is the largest prime number smaller than 100, good choice.

I would also ask for an exemption to go with "e" or "pi", both are numbers.

Growing up it was always 66 or 68

Now I wear 87 all the time and if taken back to 66 or 68

You realize that people laugh at you behind your back, right? Stuff like 99, 66, 68, or 87 will get you mocked by other players, sometimes openly. "Dumbass thinks he's Gretzky", stuff like that.

23 - my initials are D Brown, same as Dustin Brown. Since finding that out, I've always been 23.

#98 was my number in the NHL games. But any number between 13-24 would be OK, perhaps with #17 being a front runner. As a defenseman I would go for something with double digits. As a goalie #29-35 or #39-41.
