Idea: Winner of the season series should start playoff series 1-0 in first round

obviously if its somehow a tie it’s 0-0. However this means that it likely places more value in the regular season and with divison games. It also will cut down on how long the first round takes so hockey is over before the middle of june.

I actually don't mind this idea... it would make the regular season games more interesting/meaningful. It might also help build rivalries because people would care more about how their team fared against a specific team during the season (right now, most people don't care at all about their team's record vs any particular team, most people just care about the overall standings).
