Well I live in a country that has a ICE HL team (Italy), but I cannot view them:

Thanks for the information. @vorky in Slovakia said he can see them, that's why I thought they work in all four countries that have clubs in the league. I was wrong...

Does the link below the video work in Italy?

That sucks. But thanks for letting me know.

Why would the make the geoblock the highlight videos if the livestreams are finally available everywhere? One step forward, one step back.

After Leland Irving back-up Justin di Fazio is also out with an injury, so Bolzano have signed another goaltender:

Game on Wednesday:

Vienna vs Villach 1-2 SO
In their third game under the new coach, Villach showed a more solid defensive game and more intensity. Vienna had much more of the game, but Villach worked hard and held on to a 1-0 lead for a long time. Less than 2 minutes before the end of the third period Vienna finally equalized the score (with 6 skaters, goaltender out). Villach had earned a point though and proceeded to win the shootout after a goal-less overtime. One step forward for Villach, even though they're still creating few scoring chances.

Games on Thursday:

Fehervar vs Klagenfurt 5-4 SO
Both teams traded blows early and scored 2 goals each within the first 10 minutes. Then the game calmed down. It was a close match between a tired Klagenfurt team (fourth game in seven days) and a decimated Fehervar side (only 16 skaters). As always, Fehervar were efficient 5-vs-5 but Klagenfurt scored 2 goals on 2 PP opportunities. In the end, Fehervar got an extra point in the shootout. Neither team has much reason to be too unhappy with the result.

Graz vs Linz 3-1
Finally a win for Graz! But hardly an impressive one. Linz (weak all season and now with injury woes) was outplayed and outshot as expected, but Graz wasted too many chances and allowed several counter-attacks. In the end they needed an empty-net goal to win by two goals. Time is on the clock for Linz coach Pierre Beaulieu, but you can't blame Linz (with 5 players called-up from the farm team) for this particular game.

Games today:

Villach vs Salzburg
19:15 CET = 13:15 EST
An opportunity for Villach to gain some ground as Salzburg has a Covid break behind them and several players (including Jack Skille, #2 center Alexander Rauchenwald, Dominique Heinrich and Paul Huber) are out with injuries. David McIntyre will play his first game for the Red Bulls and Yannick Pilloni is healthy again, still Salzburg had to call up two youngsters from the farmteam.
Livestream (€6,90): ICE Hockey League TV

Vienna vs Dornbirn
19:15 CET = 13:15 EST
Dornbirn has had very decent performances, but Vienna should be a tough test for them.
No livestream because this game is on Pay-TV.

Since their defenceman Adrian Danielsen is out with an injury for a longer time, Innsbruck has signed a replacemnt:

Porseland could stay in Innsbruck if his try-out is a success.

Games yesterday:

Vienna vs Dornbirn 3-4 SO
A close game and a good performance by Dornbirn. They were the more dangerous team for good stretches before fizzling out. After two periods the score was 3-3. The last period was all Vienna, but Dornbirn was good enough defensively to bring the tie home. Andrew Yogan was the game winner for Dornbirn with 1 goal and 1 assist during regular play and the game-winning SO goal.

Villach vs Salzburg 1-3
A missed chance for Villach with a rather disappointing performance. The team didn't show the spark it had showed before, still had more of the game against a weakened Salzburg roster but failed to create dangerous chances as usual.

Games on Saturday:

Bratislava vs Bolzano 4-5 SO
An AHL-calibre team tied with an ECHL-calibre team after 60 minutes? Not a good result for Bolzano. Naturally, they were the better team and controlled much of the game, but Bratislava got good goaltending from Peter Hamerlik and a few bounces went their way. Encouraging result for the home team.

Linz vs Dornbirn 1-3
Again the home team couln't be blamed for not trying, but their scoring has run dry and their defence remains vulernable. Dornbirn refrained from doing more than they had to do and got outshot, yet they were the ones who scored. For Linz, former goalgetter Andrew Kozek couldn't even bury the puck when the net was wide open. A very frustrating situation and one would expect the team to make a coaching change rather soon now.

Graz vs Fehervar 0-1
With Daniel Oberkofler finally returning from injury, Graz was able to ice four lines again. A close game, both teams worked and played well. Graz had an advantage over the 60 minutes, but didn't capitalize on it. When the game seemed to draw towards a goalless tie, Fehervar finally scored a lone goal less than one minute before the end.

Games on Sunday:

Vienna vs Bolzano 0-3
An important win for Bolzano after two prior defeats against Vienna. They looked dominant early in the game, but Vienna worked and played it tough. An intense and chippy game. Bolzano kept enjoying an edge throughout the game, yet the score remained 0-0 for a long time as Vienna worked hard and got very good goaltending from Calvin Pickard. In the last period Bolzano finally translated their edge into scoring and got three unanswered goals to earn a hard-fought but deserved win.

Klagenfurt vs Innsbruck 1-4
First game for Matt Fraser (Klagenfurt), Paul Postma (Klagenfurt) and Mathias Porseberg (Innsbruck) and all of them left a favourable impression. Innsbruck showed some defensive improvement and solid goaltending, which was enough to reduce Klagenfurt (scoring woes aren't unknown to them) to one goal. For once KAC was let down by goaltender Sebastian Dahm who gifted Innsbruck the 2-1 lead & game-winning goal. Late in the game, Innsbruck added two insurance goals.

Bratislava vs Villach 3-2
Villach had more of the game (same story again) and also created scoring chances, but failed to make good use of them. Looks like not too much is missing for them to finally turn it around, but as it stands they're on a losing streak again. Good weekend for Bratislava with 4 points out of 2 games.

You're right, but the game vs Vienna showed the reason why: goaltending. Cloutier looked a little rusty... With Bernard in goal it would have probably gone differently (Bolzano outshot Bratislava 34-14...). But in the end, a W is a W. And I like the idea of a Slovak team doing well in the league

Game yesterday:

Fehervar vs Salzburg 7-0
What happened here? Salzburg taking the day off defensively + just going through the motions offensively + Fehervar being clinical = the worst defeat for Salzburg in years. What a great season Fehervar is having so far.
The only positive aspect for the Red Bulls: Jesper Eliasson played pretty well after replacing #1 goaltender JP Lamoureux at 4-0. Personal impression on my part: it's not the first time Salzburg has looked indifferent and lacking fighting spirit this season. First period: 4-0 Fehervar, not a single penalty against Salzburg. Second period: 2-0 Fehervar, a sole slashing penalty against Salzburg. Not that they should have racked up PMs, but you would expect some emotional reaction out of the team. The post-game interview by coach Matt McIlvane was in the same vain: totally calm and restraint. A bit alarming IMO.
By the way, the two teams player each other again today!

Bratislava Capitals went into the season with just 4 foreign players, expecting they could make the playoffs. They had to realize they were wrong. By now, they're signing their 8th foreigner:

Games on Tuesday:

Dornbirn vs Graz 2-0
Weak performance by Dornbirn, Graz outplayed and outshot them by a wide margin yet wasted chance after chance respectively got robbed by Dornbirn goaltender Thomas Höneckl time and time again. Dornbirn did very little offensively, but finally scored one goal in the last period and that was enough. One minute before the end they added an empty-netter. 10th defeat for Graz in 11 games! They will have to hit the emergency break rather soon.

Villach vs Bolzano 2-1 OT
Surprise win by VSV. They gave a real effort and outworked Bolzano. The refereeing gave reason for complaints on both sides. Among other things a blind-side hit by Bolzano player Mike Halmo on Patrik Bjorkstrand away from the puck was overlooked. (After the game a 3-game-suspension against Halmo was issued.) After the incident, Villach played with some anger and managed to tie the game less than 1 minute before the end. Then they went on to win it in overtime.

Fehervar vs Salzburg 4-2
Close game in which Fehervar wast the more clinical team – par of the course. Salzburg? After the 0-7 in the last game they show a bit more intensity, but not quite the big fight one would expect. With Peterka gone and Jack Skille injured that's not enough against strong opponents right now.

Innsbruck vs Bratislava 2-3 SO
After overperforming result-wise for a stretch, Innsbruck is coming down to earth again. They got outworked and outshot by Bratislava, but their scoring prowess still enabled them to hold the game tied 2-2 after 60 minutes. Bratislava won it on the shootout and deserved so.

Klagenfurt vs Vienna 5-3
Vienna with a short bench again due to a gastrointestinal virus. They played well, battled Klagenfurt hard and had earned a 3-2 lead after the second period. But in the last period they ran out of steam and KAC got two unanswed goals to turn the game around. In the end they added an empty-net goal for the final score 5-3. Man of the match for Klagenfurt was Rok Tičar with 2 goals and 1 assist. One the other hand their goaltender Sebastian Dahm had the second bad game in a row.

As reported, Linz has released Piere Beaulieu. Their new coach: Dan Ceman who has just been sacked as coach of Villach!

Games yesterday:

Vienna vs Linz 1-2
First game for Linz under new coach Dan Ceman and they got their first win after five defeats! Vienna dominated most of the game, but wasted way too many scoring chances. Goaltending was a key: David Kickert made a lot of saves for Linz while Bernhard Starkbaum let in a soft goal that tied the game. The game-winner was a PP goal by former NHL defenceman Oskars Bārtulis.

Graz vs Villach 1-3
Quo vadis, Graz? 11th defeat in 12 games. They used to score a lot but also concede a lot, then improved defensively, then went back to the original state and now they stopped scoring while still being underwhelming defensively.

Fehervar vs Bratislava 4-2
At one point it looked like Fehervar would run out of steam with their short bench, but no, they just keep going and they're impossible to keep off the scoresheet. Against Bratislava, they gained a 3-0 lead in the first period. Afterwards Bratislava did a bit more than the hosts, made it 3-1 in the second period and then 3-2 in the third. No problem for Fehervar: they just answered with another goal. Eight consecutive win!

Dornbirn vs Insbruck 7-4
Woeful defensively performance by Innsbruck in an important game against head-to-head competitor Dornbirn. To make matters worse, their #2 center Felix Giard was thrown out for spearing and earned a 1-game-suspension. Men of the match for Dornbirn were Deven Brosseau (1 goal, 4 assists) and Emilio Romig (2 goals, 2 assists).

Bolzano vs Salzburg 2-0
Third defeat in a row for Salzburg. A close game in which Bolzano kept Salzburg in check defensively. The goals were scored on great individual efforts by Brett Findlay and Anthony Bardaro.

Games yesterday:

Vienna vs Bratislava 3-2
Pretty even game. Vienna is not quite in top shape, but continues to get very good goaltending from Calvin Pickard. Bratislava seems to have taken a step forward, though they're still defensive lapses.

Linz vs Fehervar 0-2
Ninth win in a row for the Hungarian club. Solid defensive showing by both teams, the difference was that Fehervar found a way to score two quick goals in the last period while Linz couldn't get on the scoresheet.

Villach vs Klagenfurt 0-4
A painful step back for Villach. The team lacked intensity and looked uninspired – against their arch enemy Klagenfurt out of all opponents. Very disappointing.

Salzburg vs Dornbirn 4-1
Mixed performance by both teams. After an evenly played first period, Dornbirn had a bad second period and Salzburg turned a 1-1 into a 4-1. In the last period Dornbirn bounced back and had enough chances to make it closer, but failed to score. Two goals for 16 year old German Julian Lutz!

Innsbruck vs Bolzano 2-3
Some defensive improvement by the hometeam. They gave Bolzano a proper battle and played well, but in the end the better team carried the day.

Games tomorrow (all games 19:15 CET = 13:15 EST):

Fehervar vs Vienna
Important game between the #2 and #3 teams in the league. The visitors will have to get back to their best if they want a win here. Should be an intense game.
Livestream (€6,90): ICE Hockey League TV

Villach vs Linz
A chance for Linz to make up some ground, in particular if VSV plays as dull as against Klagenfurt. Will Villach coach Rob Daum be able shake his team up?
Livestream (€6,90): ICE Hockey League TV

Dornbirn vs Bolzano
The home team has played well but not always with consistency. On a good day they could prove to be a handful even for the leader. But a bad period could be enough to sink them.
Livestream (€6,90): ICE Hockey League TV

Klagenfurt vs Graz
KAC has won a lot without always looking convincing, but the scorers Petersen & Tičar are clicking now. First game for Graz under new head coach Gustafsson. He will have to find a way to stop the bleeding rather quickly.
Livestream (€6,90): ICE Hockey League TV

Salzburg vs Innsbruck
If the visitors manage to play defensively cautious again, Salzburg will have something to handle as it's hard to keep Innsbruck off the scoreboard. Not quite sure what to expect from the Red Bulls at the moment.
No livestream as the game is on pay TV.

Games on Wednesday:

Fehervar vs Vienna 1-4
The Capitals were one step ahead of Fehervar for most of the game and skated and worked themselves to a 1-0 in the first period. In the second Fehervar bounced back and outshot the visitors, but both teams scored one goal. In the last period Vienna took over again, made it 3-1 and in the end they added an empty-net goal.

Villach vs Linz 4-3
First period: Villach with a lot of energy and enough chances, but no score. At the same time they remained vulernable in their own end – result: a 2-0 lead for Linz! But Villach kept playing and in the second period they finally clicked: they turned a 0-2 into a 3-2. Then they added a fourth goal early in the last period. Linz tried to come back, but they didn't score their third goal until it was too late.

Klagenfurt vs Graz 1-2 OT
Graz showed improvement and was notably more aggressive in their first game under new head Jens Gustafsson. They played well in the first period and had a clear edge in the second when they went ahead 1-0. In the last period KAC bounced back and tied the game. Graz went on to win in OT. A deserved win and if they keep playing like this, their losing streak should be behind them for good.

Dornbirn vs Bolzano 2-1
Bolzano was pretty dominant and controlled much of the game, but after an early 1-0 they couldn't net another one. Dornbirn worked hard defensively and got solid goaltending from Oskar Östlund who seems to be finding his groove lately. Still a bit of a lucky win as Dornbirn had very few chances but they made good use of to of them, so kudos to them. You don't beat Bolzano without working hard.

Salzburg vs Innsbruck 5-1
Both teams were pretty meh, but Salzburg had the better of the game and earned a 1-0 lead in the first period. Innsbruck looked rather toothless this time and after a few defensive breakdowns in the second period allowed Salzburg to turn a 2-1 into 5-1, the games was basically over after 40 minutes.

Games on Friday:

Fehervar vs Linz 5-4 OT
The visitors were overwhelmed in the first period and Fehervar skated to a well-deserved 2-0 lead. In the second period Linz played better and both teams traded goals for a 3-1. In the last period Fehervar took it too easy while Linz played and fought hard and managed to get a 4-4 tie after 60 minutes.

Bratislava vs Vienna 2-5
The home team played well in the first period and held Vienna to a scoreless draw. In the second period Vienna turned it up a notch and Bratislava were overwhelmed defensively. Vienna went ahead 3-0 before Bratislava got on the scoresheet themselves. More of the same in the third period: Bratislava was not up to the task defensively and Vienna made it 5-1 before the home team added the final goal of the game.

Graz vs Klagenfurt 2-6
A letdown for Graz. Their forwards still don't click as they should and this time defensive blunders cost the team. Klagenfurt had more of the game. Their forward lines are working much better now than earlier in the season.

Innsbruck vs Dornbirn 2-4
Underwhelming performance by both teams. Innsbruck didn't quite look up for the game. Dornbirn was the more active and dangerous side and earned a 3-2 lead despite numerous mistakes and wasted scoring chances. In the end an empty-net goal sealed the deal.

Salzburg vs Bolzano 4-5 SO
Actually a pretty dominant performance by Bolzano. They outshot Salzburg by a wide margin and came out of the first period with a deserved 3-1 lead. The rest of the game was more evenly matched, but while Salzburg played a little better now Bolzano would haven taken 3 points if penalties didn't cost them: Salzburg scored three goals with the man advantage and after 60 minutes the score was tied 4-4. No goals in OT, so the shootout had to decide. Salzburg's strong PP earned them 1 point here.

Games on Sunday:

Bolzano vs Dornbirn 5-3
Revenge for the defeat on Wednesday! Dornbirn weren't at their best defensively in the first period and Bolzano scored three quick goals for an early 3-0 lead. Dornbirn spent the rest of the game chasing them, but Bolzano didn't concede anything and on their turn made it 4-0 early in the third period. Dornbirn finally got two late goals, but Bolzano answered immediately with their fifth goal. Another goal by Dornbirn less than a minute before the end didn't change anything.

Klagenfurt vs Villach 4-3
A better performance by Villach than before. They had their chances and actually looked more dangerous, even though Klagenfurt had a bit more of the game. They didn't do much with their edge though and their coach was not happy at all with their performance. Still, they got 3 points. Disappointing for Villach, but if they keep playing like this they will keep getting points. Bratislava beware!

Vienna vs Fehervar 4-2
Important win for Vienna. Fehervar started well, but Vienna only conceded one goal after going ahead themselves. In the second they took over and worked themselves to a 2-1 lead. The third period was pretty even, still Vienna scored twice to make it 4-1 before Fehervar got their second goal. Not a bad showing by either team, though Fehervar weren't focused enough defensively while Vienna made a few unwise plays in their own end.

Linz vs Bratislava 3-4
The home team battled hard, but defensive breakdowns cost them. Bratislava went ahead very early and Linz tied the game twice through periods 1 and 2 but only to concede again after each goal. In the third period, Bratislava made it 4-2. Linz attacked desperately now and indeed got a third goal, but Bratislava blocked shot after shot to grind out the narrow 4-3 win.

Innsbruck vs Salzburg 1-3
The home team with just 14 skaters, but Salzburg looked too contemplate, allowed their opponent several breakaways and had a pretty bad game throughout. They got solid goaltending from Jean-Philippe Lamoureux though. Innsbruck played rather well and went ahead 1-0 but took too many penalties and their defensive zone coverage is still work in progress. Salzburg tied the game in the second period, went ahead in the third and finally added an empty-net goal. A bitter defeat for Innsbruck.

New signings (part 1/2):

A bit surprising that Bolzano is adding another player. They already have the best roster in the league by far.

His contract in Salzburg wasn't renewed in the 2020 offseason and no-one else liked his salary demand, but Graz feels the need to act now.

Games yesterday:

Bratislava vs Fehervar 2-5
Home game for Bratislava, but played in Fehervar! The Hungarian club was too much to handle for the Bratislava defence. After two periods the score was 3-1 and early in the second, Fehervar made it 4-1. They sat back for the rest of the game and Bratislava tried to come back, but didn't make it closer than 4-2. In the end Fehervar added an empty-net goal in a victory that was never challenged.

Linz vs Vienna 2-3
The visitors didn't go all out, yet were ahead 3-0 after 30 minutes. In the last period they ceased playing and Linz got two goals. Not exactly the kind of attitude a coach likes to see in his team, but it was enough to earn 3 points against this opponent.

Dornbirn vs Salzburg 2-3
A bitter defeat for Dornbirn in an important game. They worked themselves to a 2-0 lead, but their weak goaltending allowed Salzburg to tie the score on two powerplay goals. In the last period, Dornbirn wasted their chances while Salzburg used a blunder on their part to score the winner. Salzburg was underwhelming, but their strong game with the man advantage bailed them out.

Villach vs Graz 2-3
Subpar performances by both teams. Villach had more chances, but was too wasteful with them. Graz didn't look they were really up for the game, yet got 3 points. The score aside, there is not much their coach can be happy about though.

Bolzano vs Innsbruck 2-0
Not a bad game by Innsbruck, but they didn't capitalize on their chances and ran out of gas as the game went on. Not the best game by Bolzano, but they were efficient enough to earn 3 points here.

No games tomorrow.
