Games yesterday:

Innsbruck vs Graz 3-4 SO
The question was which face Graz would show and in the first period, it was the careless one so that Innsbruck was able to cruised to an easy 2-0 lead. In the second period, Graz turned things around, dominated the play and scored 3 unanwered goals. In the third period, Innsbruck bounced back, showed good checking and got the tying goal. Graz won in the shootout.

Bratislava vs Bolzano 0-4
Bolzano rusty? Not so much. Playing an away game in their home arena (Bratislava isn't using their home arena right now), they outshoted the opponent and clicked at even strength and with the man advantage. Great game for new defenseman Alex Trivellato (1 goal + 1 assist).

Games today:

Dornbirn vs Linz
19:15 CET = 13:15 EST
Can Linz take revenge for the rubdown last Sunday? Seems unlikely. They are on a losing streak and haven't shown any signs of improvement while Dornbirn has turned into a pretty formidable opponent.
Livestream (€ 6,90) here

Fehervar vs Vienna
19:15 CET = 13:15 EST
An interesting match. Fehervar are dangerous, but Vienna are a strong team and should have the means to keep them in check.
Livestream (€ 6,90) here

Bolzano vs Bratislava
20:15 CET = 14:15 EST
A chance for Bratislava to make up for the loss yesterday. A win isn't likely, but uf they catch a better start into the game this time, they should give Bolzano more of a run.

Games yesterday:

Dornbirn vs Linz 5-3
As expected, Linz was again outplayed soundly as Dornbirn racked up a 4-1 lead and then took it easy for the rest of the game. Linz is in shambles defensively and apart from the Umicevic line (produced two goals) don't provide much of a scoring threat.

Fehervar vs Vienna 3-4 SO
Vienna had more of the game and went ahead 2-0 early, but Fehervar made the best of their scoring chances once again and carved out a tie after 60 minutes. Vienna went on to win the SO. Acceptable result for both teams, but Vienna won't be happy about their defensive showing in the third period.

Bolzano vs Bratislava 6-5
Not a classic by any mean, but a few beautiful goals in this one. Bratislava started much better than in the last game and went ahead 2-0 quickly. Bolzano bounced back and after the second period the game was tied 3-3. In the last period, the home team took several penalties and Bratislava punished them with two goals. But Bolzano stayed cool and answered with three more goals within three minutes. Neither coach will be satisfied.

Game today:

Innsbruck vs Villach

Thurday:

Innsbruck vs Villach 5-4 SO
Underwhelming performances by both teams. Villach had more of the game, but defensive lapses cost them. Innsbruck had plenty of their own, but was a bit luckier.
Hightlights

Yesterday:

Bratislava vs Graz 3-5
Third defeat in a row for Bratislava. Graz with a lot of scoring punch again. Whether Oliver Setzinger (aged 37) should still be used as a defencemen (as in this game) is another question.

Linz vs Bolzano 1-3
Another no-show game by Linz who were outplayed and outshote by a wide margin. They're very lucky to come out with a mere two-goal deficit.

Dornbirn vs Klagenfurt 3-1
KAC had a bit more of the game, but Dornbirn showed discipline and was more dangerous offensively. Looks like they're for real.

Games yesterday:

Innsbruck vs Fehervar 3-4
Fehervar had the better of the game. After the first period they were ahead 2-0, after the second 3-1. In the third period, they made it 4-1. The game was already out of hand when Innsbruck added two late goals.

Villach vs Vinna 4-1
Best performance by Villach this season. They finally pulled themselves together defensively. Vienna took the game lightly and headed into an unpleasant suprise.

Games yesterday:

Graz vs Linz 3-1
A better performance by Linz than before. They went ahead 1-0 and held on for a long time. Graz had more of the game though and in the end the visitors succumbed to their attacks.

Dornbirn vs Fehervar 2-3
A close game between two teams that are in good shape right now. Dornbirn goaltender Östlund let in a soft goal once again and has probably squandered his status as #1 by now.

Klagenfurt vs Salzburg 4-1
First game for Salzburg after a long Covid break. Unsurprisingly the team wasn't sharp and Klagenfurt earned a victory that wasn't contested very hard.

Both the head coach and the assistant coach of Klagenfurt are currently under quarantine until their Covid-tests return negative results. So Klagenfurt will have to use to stand-ins behind the bench tomorrow.

Games today:

Bratislava vs Klagenfurt

Klagenfurt don't score a lot and haven't been very consistent. Bratislava has some offence in them and if they score a few, KAC could be in trouble, in particular with the bench being managed by David Fischer (#1 defenceman, out with a long-term injury) and the goaltending coach.

Time: 18:30 CET = 12:30 EST
Livestream (€6,90): here

Linz vs Vienna

The home team were a little better in the last game, but if Vienna shows up it shouldn't matter. Anything but a win by the Capitals would be a surprise.

Time: 19:15 CET = 13:15 EST
Livestream (€6,90): here

Dornbirn vs Innsbruck

Innsbruck will have to play much more solid defensively if they don't want to slip down the standings. A good chance for Dornbirn to win 3 points.

Games yesterday:

Bratislava vs Klagenfurt 2-1
Bratislava tightened up defensively and Klagenfurt had a very underwhelming showing. Bad news for KAC: their head coach and their assistant coach are now confirmed to have Covid and the team will have to keep playing without them.

Linz vs Vienna 3-1
Vienna took a game off for the second time in a row and Linz finally got a win. This time the scoring punch of the Lebler & Umicevic line (2 goals) was enough to make the difference. Vienna coach Dave Cameron has some work to do with his team.

Dornbirn vs Innsbruck 2-6
The home team looked flat in their 8th games in 16 days. Innsbruck scored two early goals and Dornbirn never made up for it, even though they had their scoring chances. Daniel Ciampini with a 5 point game (3 goals).

Games yesterday:

Bratislava vs Fehervar 1-3
Another game, another win by Fehervar. They have been the surprise of the season so far and keep playing a good overall game with a roster you wouldn't really expect it from.

Villach vs Salzburg 1-0 SO
More points for a Villach team that really needs them. The first goal-less draw of the season. Salzburg need to get out of their funk soon.

Game on Thursay:

Bolzano vs Linz 3-0
Linz was outclassed and outshot once again and, not for the first time, got away with a flattering scoreline.
Highlights

Games yesterday:

Dornbirn vs Villach 3-2 OT
Mediocre game by both sides. Villach is still far from where they should be and Dornbirn will be happy to get a 3-day-break now after playing 9 matches in 19 days. First goal for new Villach defenceman Frédérik Allard.
Highlights

Graz vs Klagenfurt 3-6
After their off-game against Bratislava, Klagenfurt bounced back and played one of their best games this season. The team finally clicked offensively, in particular in the last period when they turned a 3-3 into 6-3.

Vienna vs Bratislava 3-1
The home team started subpar again, but this time they got better as the game went on and turned a 0-1 into a 3-1. Is that what they needed to get back to their winning ways for good?

Salzburg vs Fehervar 5-3
Red Bull showed improvement and started well with a 2-0 lead. From the second period on, Fehervar played better and looked like the more dangerous team, but didn't make up for the early deficit. John-Jason Peterka with assists on every single goal that Salzburg scored!

Game today:

Bolzano vs Fehervar
Two of the top teams in the league right now, could be a very interesting encounter.

Game yesterday:

Bolzano vs Fehervar 4-1
No harm in losing against the best team in the league, that is: Bolzano. But it was the second defeat in a row for Fehervar – are they running out of steam with their small roster and their intense game?

Highlights:

Games today:

Klagenfurt vs Vienna
16:30 CET = 10:30 EST
Both teams are looking to consistency. In terms of points per game, the #4 in the league is hosting the #3.
Livestream (free and available worldwide): Livestream | PULS 24

Salzburg vs Graz
16:30 CET = 10:30 EST
Are Salzburg back really back on track? The #2 team in the league should give them a thorough test.
Livestream (free and available worldwide): EC Red Bull Salzburg

Linz vs Innsbruck
17:00 CET = 11:00 EST
The worst team in the league against a limited side that is trending downward. No classic expected.
Livestream (€6,90 and available worldwide): ICE Hockey League TV

Bolzano vs Villach
17:30 CET = 11:30 EST
Clear roles here: the home team is favoured by a lot and anything but a clear defeat would be a nice surprise for Villach who do not yet have Michael Raffl.

Games on Sunday:

Klagenfurt vs Vienna 4-5 OT
Good game by Klagenfurt again and an unlucky defeat. Vienna were only second best, but they fought hard to stay in the game and were rewarded with 2 points.

Salzburg vs Graz 10-2
So Salzburg IS back on track. Graz actually played pretty well for two periods but Salzburg scored goals anyway. In the last period, the visitors fell apart and Salzburg kept going to turn a 5-1 into a 10-2.

Bolzano vs Villach 4-1
As expected, Bolzano controlled the game and Villach didn't have the offensive means or defensive consistency to win anything here.

Linz vs Innsbruck 1-5
The helpless and harmless hometeam didn't do anything in the first two periods and was killed by Innsbruck's forechecking. Things look bleak in Linz.
Highlights

Game yesterday:

Bratislava vs Innsbruck 5-2
Innsbruck had a bit more of the game, but defensive lapses cost them dearly.
Highlights

Games today:

Villach vs Klagenfurt
19:15 CET = 13:15 EST
The Carinthian derby. Michael Raffl will suit up for his hometown Villach for the first time, still anything but 3 points for Klagenfurt would be a surprise.
No livestream because the game is live on Sky (Pay TV).

Salzburg vs Fehervar
19:15 CET = 13:15 EST
Fehervar has done well so far, but lately they seem to be running out of steam while Salzburg is clicking now. Advantage Salzburg.
Livestream (free): EC Red Bull Salzburg

Bolzano vs Dornbirn
20:15 CET = 14:15 EST
Dornbirn didn't look too good last week. Bolzano is the clear favourite here.

Games on Tuesday:

Villach vs Klagenfurt 2-1
The arrival of Michael Raffl gave Villach a huge spark. They looked like a team reborn and played with a lot more heart and intensity than before.

Salzburg vs Fehervar
Third win in a row for Salzburg, third defeat in a row for Fehervar. As good as Fehervar has been, they're in for a rough ride now with their small roster.

Bolzano vs Dornbirn
Just another working day for Bolzano that ends with a win. After a decent first period by Dornbirn, the home team took over in the second and was never in danger. Bolzano have now won 10 out of their 12 games!
Highlights

Game yesterday:

Vienna vs Graz 4-3 SO
Very good game by Vienna, but Graz were more clinical with their chances. Still, Graz could haven stolen the game if their young goalie Rodrigue didn't give up two costly rebounds. The win by Vienna was highly deserved though.

Games today:

Fehervar vs Villach
19:15 CET = 13:15 EST
A week ago Fehervar would have been the clear favourite, but VSV looked like a different team with Michael Raffl and the Hungarian club is struggling due to their short bench. A great chance for VSV to gain more ground.
Livestream (€6,90): ICE Hockey League TV

Vienna vs Innsbruck
19:15 CET = 13:15 EST
If Vienna takes the game seriously, their win won't be in doubt. If they take it easy, Innsbruck's forecheck court hurt them even wit their goalgetter Daniel Ciampini sidelined.

Let's see how BZ fares this weekend against some tougher opposition and away from Palaonda.

Right. Vienna and then Graz away will be tougher tests than anything Bolzano has faced the last six weeks and a record of over 80% wins is certainly not sustainable.
