Would a deal based around Connor Brown make sense for Hamonic? He's young and under control longer than JVR and he's a RW. His name has been mentioned by Friedman.

I'll take that as an "I have no clue who that is" type of post. He scored 20 as a rookie last year. He's 23, you have to flip that around to reach AHL'er Bernier's age.

We have too many good defensemen who are eligible for the expansion draft. Hammer, Leddy, Boychuck, De Haan, Pulock, Pelech, Mayfield. The Isles are in a tough spot here and one of those guys is probably gonna be picked by Vegas.

mayfield is a 7d and pelech is a 5 at most. isles protection list will most likely look like this: tavares, lee, ladd, nelson, hamonic, pulock, boychuk, leddy or tavares, lee, ladd, hamonic, pulock, leddy, de haan, boychuk. staple said he expects there to be a deal in place with vegas anyways.
