Yeah. That's probably true.

Seems risky to me, when he hasn't really managed to play (and play well) for more than about half a season consecutively.

But a bridge deal for a player like that is likely to just cost you more in the long-run anyway. If/when he does put together a full season of scoring at the rate he's clearly capable of.

He's not getting 64M off 4, 23, and 26 goal scoring seasons. Maybe 6.5x8.
dont think his agent would be foolish enough to sign that poor a deal. its likely a bridge deal, or 90% of the Habs cap (which is less than 10mil)

.25 assists per game during his career to date is pretty awful. He did have 8 assists in that one playoff run but it seems like a mirage (if you factor in those games, it boosts him up to a whopping .27 per game to be fair). He should probably figure out the art of the "pass" before committing longterm.
He is first and foremost a goal scorer as Suzuki is the playmaker. Nothing wrong with that. He is a very good passer actually.

Why are all the funny threads made by Habs fans these days... 😭

Rebuilding, nothing but think about the future. Hockey is about selling results or hope, Habs fans are in the hope stage.

Kind of been a double-whammy: end of 2022 Panthers were 12th in Conference so they began to make rosters with both Bedard and Fantilli. Then they won too many games in February (6-3), moved up from 15th in Conference and Panthers got hot in 2023 (26-14-3). Washington went from best in December to worst in February opening a po spot. Basically everything went wrong.

the fact they follow and post scores of too many teams from period to period for so many weeks has to be hard. Could still be rewarded, Panthers can still miss the po.

Ok great input.
Off topic, but did it hurt to see Romonav go or no
