It was free. Cost-wise anyway.

I got it from the remains of the Demi-Lich Rammaq (CR 47) after he was briefly my ally on the Fugue Plane, where I was leading the second crusade against the City of Judgement to tear down the Wall of the Faithless.

In all seriousness though, I paid $900 for it. It is sterling silver, with a 6 carat Amethyst.

The text around the top says "Hammer that never breaks, and axe that never dulls"

On the inside, there is text that reads "Halls under the mountains, filled with gold"

I originally really wanted the Sapphire one, but apparently Sapphires are a lot more expensive than Amethysts. Also, apparently Amethysts protect you from the undead, so there is that also.
