Might as well just sign Franson/Polak/Tyutin/Wideman for much less.

They are not great, but if it's just a depth addition, it's not like it needs to be super expensive or high end. None of the Vegas defensemen available (who are not cap dumps) are going to come cheap.

I read earlier Franson was down to two teams and one was Edmonton. This makes sense, give him a 1 year deal and that helps their PP too.
