Starting 70% of your shifts in the offensive zone will do that.
It didn’t for Skinner.

I’m just saying, but Skinner had the best Corsi of his career last season if that’s how we’re judging these guys.

Ok, but you just said it didn’t.
Haha you're right I just noticed that. Regardless, he performed well in the role he was given last year in both leagues.Starting 70% of your shifts in the offensive zone will do that.

That doesn't really take away form his success--Panarin actually has a lower percentage of defensive zone starts the past two seasons.
Not going to be accused of hyperbole. I know Zykov is not nearly the offensive threat that Panarin is. However, I think he is going to be the best new goal scorer other than Svech this season.
....and that's why they call him Boom BoomMaybe with his off-season training, Darling won’t tilt the ice so much this year.
Don't know if everyone has seen this thread:

Lots of Svech votes, a decent number for Necas. But what I liked is one for Pu and one for Booth. The Canes are deep--even other fans are acknowledging it.
He definitely gets more love from other fan bases. And a Nic Roy
Wasn't he the #1 pick in the QMJHL entry draft or something? He definitely gets more love from other fan bases.
Sort of lie the Ed, Edd, and Eddie of the Q?I hear their father said Nic was the most talented Roy sibling.
NHL farm system rankings: No. 4 Carolina Hurricanes
Pronman puts Carolina at #4 of the prospect rankings. Not sure if he really doesn’t like Luke Martin or if it was an oversight
Really missed the mark on Zykov. Kuokkanen at #3 and Zykov at #11 is a big gap when considering the on-ice results. Wallmark at #8 is surprising as well, he has never looked like an NHLer in multiple callups.
For the team U23 ranking he puts Svechnikov above Aho and Fox (as well as Kuokkanen) above Pesce. Fox could get there but I have a hard time believing that Kuokkanen is going to be a better player than Brett Pesce.
