Starting 70% of your shifts in the offensive zone will do that.

That doesn't really take away form his success--Panarin actually has a lower percentage of defensive zone starts the past two seasons.

Not going to be accused of hyperbole. I know Zykov is not nearly the offensive threat that Panarin is. However, I think he is going to be the best new goal scorer other than Svech this season.

How does having an abnormally high OZ% not factor into “tilting the ice”? The ice was tilted when he came off the bench, 70% of the time.

And yes, that absolutely should be considered when people talk about Panarin.

Really missed the mark on Zykov. Kuokkanen at #3 and Zykov at #12 is a big gap when considering the on-ice results. Wallmark at #8 is surprising as well, he has never looked like an NHLer in multiple callups.

For the team U23 ranking he puts Svechnikov above Aho and Fox (as well as Kuokkanen) above Pesce. Fox could get there but I have a hard time believing that Kuokkanen is going to be a better player than Brett Pesce.

Pesce is only 23 for three months, so not a big issue. Though I have always been higher on him than even most Canes' fans. I think he could eventually hit double digit goals and put up close to 40 points.

I can see Wallmark around 8. He is unspectacular but solid--just don't think he was lined up with any players who complemented his skillset.

Since I don't have a subscription, it will be interesting to hear other thoughts about Pronman's ranking.

Agreed. Having Foegele and Zykov outside the legit NHL prospect category is a real head scratcher to me. Likewise having Bean and Fox outside the "very good prospect" category.
Will also be interested to see if they have Pettersson for Vancouver listed as an elite prospect, if they do I really have to take issue with him being listed as one but not Necas or Tolvanen, but my guess is that he's not.
