I agree with analysis of Jordan's offensive game.

But if you put Jordan, or aho , or tt, or svech in an offensive faceoff out against the other team's 4th line, the tradeoff is your own 4th line has to take a harder matchup.

So if you have to micromanage the roster a la pastor Bill to ever prevent that, you're denying your better players the softer matchup.

Kruger was supposed to allow us to do this. Not only did he fail in that, he couldn't even handle standard 4th line comp. Tomas kaberle 2.0, darlings epic implosion took a lot of deserved odium from Kruger's part in the bust season.

Say what you will about Jay McClement, but he filled that role well. Our 4th line was terrible last season. A few years ago, we finally put together a decent fourth line with players suited to that role after years of just sticking offensive players who couldn't hack it in the NHL there. Now, we have a rotating cast of offensive failures and players who are suited to the 4th line role but are bad at it. So yay us.

Mcclement filled that role well for maybe 1 year. Then he fell off a cliff and was as bad as Krueger. Nordstrom being a complete zero offensively too wasnt helpful to either of those guys.
