Rather than the generic bun I often do, I got up 20 mins early today and French Braided my hair.

I wish it was longer and that I hadn't cut it last year (thankfully, it will grow back), but damn I look good

C'mon man, what do you take us for? With all the pics you've posted of yourself -- with Klingon weaponry, in various states of undress, clearly chemically altered -- there's no pic of this?

This is the very definition of "pics or it didn't happen".

Imagine a Brunette Vega with shorter hair and no claw

Hey I know there's a lot of Charlotte folk on here and wanted to ask for recommendations if anyone is up for it. We're in Charlotte for the day tomorrow and was wondering what's good to eat downtown (or not) for dinner. Specifically something with a vegetarian option would be ideal.

Also anything one *has* to see when visiting Charlotte? Had mixed ideas so far from people here in Raleigh; we went to the Mint Museum and IKEA but nothing else.

My iPhone battery life has been going downhill for the past couple of months, of course I paid it off on the next program this month and I dropped the dang thing in the toilet. Now I have a new iPhone and get to pay on it again

Two things to see if you haven't. One is the NASCAR HOF. Even if you are like me and you don't give two ***** about NASCAR, it's still IMO worth a visit. The other is the Levine Museum of the New South. Very interesting history museum if you're into American history post Civil War.

As far as dining, well you've got all kinds of options but if you want a good Vegatarian option, theres a place in the Dilworth neighborhood right next to the East/West Blvd light rail station called Living Kitchen that I hear is very good. If you want to stick with Uptown, you might like The Capital Grille, which is a pretty good steakhouse. I think they have some Vegetarian options but I'm not sure, only went once for a graduation but I seem to recall they had at least one non-meat main course. They're pretty expensive though from what I remember, but then again thats kind of to be expected of a steakhouse.

I think the Knights are in town this weekend. I actually went to my first game at the new ballpark recently, awesome stadium with incredible views of the skyline.

Edit: Upon further investigation I have discovered that The Capital Grille is actually a chain. There's one in North Hills apparently.

For dinner I'd suggest Boudreau's Louisiana Kitchen. You can't go wrong there but you may want to double check their vegetarian options

I have a Windows phone with T-mobile coverage. Which is kinda like having a 1987 Geo Metro and filling it up with watered-down gas from the creepy almost-abandoned gas station in the ghetto. Except the Geo probably won't crash 7 times in the 1.2 miles between the gas station and home.

I was mentally devastated by a Nokia Lumia 630 with Windows 8 to the point that one night I woke up 4 am to the utter-pissed-offness of having to use one and had to stumble downstairs to order a different phone online. Only then I regained peace.

It's cute though when you go and google something and it suggests you should use Bing instead. "Psst. Have you tried Bing?"

"Yes. Yes I did."

Walking back from the store just now wearing a yellow Borussia Dortmund kit, and some drunk guy yells at me: "Hey man! Nice shirt. What're ya supposed ta be? The Hamburgler!"

He then proceeded to kill himself laughing like it was the funniest thing in the world.

So here is McDonalds Europe's commercial for their new South Carolina Stack sandwich.

Before you click, take a moment to consider what sort of imagery would best represent a South Carolinian.

You think they could have attempted a little research

Especially considering the whole point is to highlight what makes SC culturally different.

They have separate Tennessee and Louisiana burgers on the way, so there's not even the excuse that this was supposed to be a "The South" regional thing.

I mean how do you put Dolly Parton in the SC commercial when you're getting ready to release a TN version next!?
