How much of your actual money would you give up to get McDavid?

My friend brought up an interesting question, how much of your own money would you give up to have McDavid on your team for free? No cap hit. He said he'd give up thousands but he's an extreme fan of McDavid, I was surprised as that's a lot of money.

I paid about $2000 a year for a Coyotes season ticket to watch them suck a few years ago. I'd have happily paid another $1000 to have an all-world talent on the team. So "$1000."

I'd pay a couple of thousand to see him play here in Finland for his career

I would donate $10,000 to a local charity with no tax receipt to get McDavid at 9.7million per year :D

Would you people really use no money at all to get to watch the 20 year old, arguably best player in the world, for the rest of his career, with no cap hit, on your team? I find that interesting. I wouldn't go up to thousands but I'd pay few hundred bucks to enjoy that for sure.

What if you already have McDavid?

Does that mean you get to make up the McDavid equivalent on defence?

I'd pay 5-10 thousand for that.

Over a 20 year career it'd only be like 40 bucks a month.

I blow that kind of money on things just as stupid.

Easy.

It's called a television and I already paid a couple hundred bucks for it. Not only does it let me watch said player, it lets me watch other entertaining things too. He'll I might even get some money back for it if I decide to sell it.

Well, my season tickets doubled last year and I happily paid it because McDavid was on the team. The year before McDavid draft I was leaning towards letting the seats go. So, thousands I suppose is my answer.

Money comes and goes. I spend money on dumb **** because I'm bored and five minutes later I'm bored again. Why not "invest" that money in the success of my favorite team, which will actually make me happy?

No cap hit? I'd take out a loan for as much as I could get and get the Aquilini's to cover the financing after he signs.

So, idk, like $200k? But given that I'd need to have backing, pretty much only a couple hundred of my own money.
