Kessel/Jrv hottest tandem in the league before the Olympics, without that 'break' Kessel is over 40 goals, and we have perhaps 5 more wins before Kessel goes cold again.

The last thing you want to do is not play games when Kessel is in a major hot steak.

I think the Olympic break hurt us more because we were in a groove as a team, and firing on all cylinders. We didn't play the same after the break.

That being said, all teams had this happen to them - we just happened to head into the break on a hot streak. Would have been nice to have rode that out instead of stopping for two weeks.

Great post. No excuses. A 9 point lead wouldn't be an excuse if we were sporting an all level squad. Thus group is just a sad bunch of losers.
