cp3 is going to go to miami (my guess)

he is overpaid but miami also has a few bad contracts for role players off the bench

okc probably has to take bad some bad contracts but they can actually afford to since they are rebuilding. Houston couldnt do that

If Presti didn't do that terrible trade 7 years ago, Im sure the Thunder would have won at least once. This is going to be interesting to witness as it go down. I don't think this will end well.

Holy fack.

While OKC never won during the KD era, its not for lack of trying by Presti. Not his fault Bennett was too cheap to pay the tax and keep Harden/add guys.

However he has done a great job of collecting assets and can now build another finals contender while everyone else fights in the western blood bath.

The Dragic + Olynyk + Waiters deal is probably going to be the best way to do it.

Now watch a team like Minnesota come along and do something dumb by trading for Paul since apparently they were in on Westbrook.

Meanwhile OKC is gonna be the team of the 2030s

Wow, they actually did it. Figured it was all talk but OKC in fact did trade their triple-double star.

On another note they might have a lot of picks in the future to work with but short-term man they're chartering towards 20-30 win territory. It doesn't seem that long ago they were the up and coming young team in the league that was going to take over once Kobe/Dirk/Duncan/Nash retired. Problem for them, Golden State was also building a contender and they actually finished the job and took Durant in the process.

How long until Westbrook makes fun of Harden's man boobs?

This will never get old

Westbrook as a player is a big upgrade over Paul, and he fits into their double iso system quite well. Contracts are equally bad. This is a win for Houston, and OKC depending on how they can get out of the Paul deal.

But man, LAL, LAC, Portland, Denver, Utah, Houston, GS (they’ll still have Curry, Thompson and Draymond for the playoffs)... West is going to be a dogfight. No load management for Kawhi or LeBron.

The league picked a weird summer to explode like this

The last real superteam disbands so 3 teams repeat the Brooklyn trade in hopes of winning it all, this can literally only work out for one of them, hopefully it blows up in all of their faces

Westbrook is younger, more durable, and better overall but Paul is a better shooter, defender, and has one less year on his terrible contract. I actually think Paul is a better fit but he obviously doesn't want to stand there and just be a catch and shoot guy.

This is going to be interesting. On paper is there a worse PG to pair with Harden?

Thank you, Morey. I no longer have to worry about Westbrook in Miami. Unfortunately, I guess I can't completely rule out CP3 in Miami now.

Well, that didn't take long.

I absolutely don't want that contract but if Miami gets to keep their young guys and gets picks then I might be able to talk myself into it.
