- Meadowlands: The harness track in New Jersey reported that handle exceeded $4 million on Saturday for a third time in 2021, a figure reached three times in total in 2020. The weekend figure reached $7 million for a third time in 2021, again a mark reached three times in 2020.
- Life is Good, the top Kentucky Derby horse for many at this juncture, is scheduled to race next March 6 in the Grade 2 San Felipe at Santa Anita.
- Holiday Monday. Both Florida tracks were dark but re-open Wednesday.
- Patrick Quick sported a 0-for-12 record in 2021. The trainer entered two today and both were victorious.
- Race 7: My Boy Tate (Manny Franco/Michelle Nevin) won the $100,000 Hollie Hughes Stakes.
- Handle: $5.7 million.
- Joe Taylor entered today with five wins in 2021. The trainer won three times on this card.
- Claudio Gonzalez, the meet's leading trainer, won twice.
- Feargal Lynch won for the first time since July 17. It was his second ride since suffering neck and back fractures last year which sidelined him roughly 200 days.
- Race 1: A win by more than 15 lengths.
- Race 5: The longest shot on the board at 53-to-1 was victorious and paid $108.00.
- Race 6: The $.50 Pick 3 paid over $1,800.
- Canceled: Weather.
- James Graham added two wins to his meet lead which stands at 62.
- Canceled: An employee in the jockeys' room tested positive for C-virus. The cards today and Tuesday were both canceled.
- Kyle Frey won three times. He leads the meet with 28 victories.
- Handle: $9 million.
- Flavien Prat and Juan Hernandez both won three times. Prat is 13 7-2-0 the past two days and leads the meet with 30 victories. Hernandez is second with 29.
- Umberto Rispoli is headed to Saudi Arabia to ride this weekend. He is third at the meet with 27 wins.
- Joel Rosario went 5 1-2-2 today.
- Race 6: Hozier (Joel Rosario) and Fenway (Abel Cedillo) finished 1-2 and both were trained by Bob Baffert. The winner was purchased for $625,000 in 2019 and broke his maiden today in his second try.
