Fixed it, thanks

Made the thread quickly as the other was over the limit so I'm taking suggestions for another thread title

"Tales of Hoffman and the Day of Pentecost"... but perhaps both references are a little obscure for most participants.

Francoeur has awful batting average.

Can he play defense?

Heck no! if we got him it would be for his bat only. He's adequate but definitely would be used as an upgrade for the bench. Get Mastroianni out of here, just doesn't belong in the majors let alone on a 1st place club.

If he can hit

Find him a new position catching every day is a real strain on the body. That's if he can HIT, if you look over the Jays drafts identifying hitters is not their long suit. Just go over the drafts over the last ten years, none of these guys can hit, all the Guys on the Jays that can hit came from other organizations. Does that mean J.P. was a genius. :help:

if this move is made I would think Gose is either sent down to Buffalo, traded or used sparingly as a pinch runner. He's useless right now.

Francoeur's value is below replacement level. If they were to try and catch lightning in a bottle with him it would be as a bench bat vs lefties, aka Mastro's role, not Gose's.

I haven't anything about him though so I don't know what to think.

Yeah Mastro would definitely get the boot down to Buffalo...I'm still confused on what this guy brings to the table other than a whole lot of suckage.

I have 2 things to say to you. Max is already a very polished hitter and should continue to get better.
And the second thing

Wow Edwin in LF again tonight. Lots of ground to cover in Oakland.

The Jays must be looking for an OF soon! When they put Edwin in their before regular OF Gose and Mastroanni?

Interesting

It's because Bautista is still DHing. Gose is in there though and will occupy centrefield. Rasmus on the bench.

The Blue Jays have a long history of investing ion the international market, and they continued that trend on Wednesday, the first day of the international signing period, by agreeing to terms with teenage right-handed pitcher Juan Meza from Venezuela for $1.6 million, according to an industry source.

The club did not confirm the signing.

Meza, who is ranked No. 11 on MLB.com's Top 30 International Prospects list, is among the most coveted hurlers on the international market this year.

Scouts like Meza's athleticism and his lean muscular build, and the 170-pound righty is expected to fill out his six-foot frame as he matures. Meza has a fastball that hovers in the 88- to 93-mph range, an effective changeup and a decent slider. His curveball is expected to improve, and some believe he could end up being the best pitcher in the class.

Meza is from Barinas, Venezuela, and his trainer is former Major League infielder Carlos Guillen of the Carlos Guillen Academy.

In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, each team is allotted a $700,000 base and a bonus pool based on the team's record in 2013 for the international signing period. Toronto's bonus pool total for this year's signing period is $2,852,900.

Alright so Sabathia is being shut down indefinitely. His season could be done, he has swelling on his knee. The Yankees are screwed, without Tanaka they would be probably battling TB right now for last. It's going to be a battle between us and Baltimore for the division.

They have lots of money etc. don't think they will sit back. They will have a pitcher or two soon.

with what assets are they going to get this pitcher. I'd love if they throw more of their farm system out the window, go ahead..I hope they go for another quick fix. Throw out Betances and others for Hammel lol. Good ol Yankees.

Prado sitting today. He's been sputtering but still odd to see him out of the regular lineup.

Take a look at the standings. With tanaka that's already the case. If they lose him forget about it

Correction I mixed up the yanks and red sox
