Kinda a dumb post considering the location didnt determine how good the players were.
But the location does help determine what teams have the money to compete. The Stars are something like 7th in corporatesponsorship dollars. Then have a great TV deal. Their arena is one of the biggest revenue generators in the league. Being in a large and growing market allows the Stars to spend to the cap every season.

Me hopes and thinx that New York Islanders kicks the livin' daylight out of Tampa Bay Lightning.

No point in point why I even think so ...

Dallas Stars vs N.Y Islanders in the NHL Stanley Cup-finals, that is.

A dream come true for me as a Finn - but not for NHL of course.

But who cares?!

Wow look at all these "non-traditional" hockey markets doing so well continuously in the playoffs.
And the Islanders may be in New York, but we are the small market team that doesn't get treated as a large market and has had relocation rumors multiple times. So that's another one to add to the mix

Another weird stat..

If Dallas wins it will be back to back cup wins for interim head coaches, correct? How often has that happened?
