If both Dallas and Tampa Bay win their Game 5s, it will be the first all-Sun Belt Cup Final in NHL history.
Ironically it will take place in Canada.

Idk how they wouldn't be , can't get much more sun than in the middle of the desertIs Vegas considered Sun Belt?
I believe you're correct, yes. So, I think the premise of this thread would be true regardless of who wins in the West.Is Vegas considered Sun Belt?

Kinda a dumb post considering the location didnt determine how good the players were.Wow look at all these "non-traditional" hockey markets doing so well continuously in the playoffs.
I guess to add further irony, it would confirm what the Sun Belt haters have always said and be the lowest attended Finals ever. A record that would never be broken!
The NHL lists the official attendance for all playoff games as N/A.

It would beat out the Colorado vs Florida Stanley Cup final, by measure of average sunshine hours.
Oddly enough, it would not. Miami and Denver are 10th and 12th in sunshine hours per year among North American cities. They combine for 6260 hours of sunshine per year. Tampa and Dallas are 21st and 25th, combining for 5776.2 hours of sunshine per year.
And, even stranger, the Colorado/Miami series lost the record a couple years ago, because Vegas and Washington, DC combine for 6353 hours of sunshine per year.
I was thinking of Vegas/Tampa, forgot the OP specified Dallas. I suppose Vegas + almost any city could set the record.
You know that's strange because Emonton has been reporting phony numbers for years. Don't see why they couldn't in this case. The NHL lists the official attendance for all playoff games as N/A.
Vegas is 150 miles away from Death ValleyJury is still out.
I had to check this, but Flames and Bolts in 2004 would be the first official LEF (Light Emitting Finals), as well as the NHL's first NDF (Natural Disaster Finals).Ooor. If thewe will be Stars vs Bolts match, it will be first "light emitting sources" finale.
