Clip of game at the Berlin Sportpalast after WWII between two Berlin teams in 1947. "The building was heavily damaged during the war. The roof is missing, the gallery was partly destroyed and rubble and holes ..." Refurbished without roof 1951, refurbished again with roof 1953?

From the 'Content' you get the impression it's the first time hockey has been played at the Sportpalast for many years.
"Sports Premiere at the Sports Palace Berlin Sports Palace - once one of the most famous and most notorious Nazi propaganda - is returned to its original purpose."
"Despite the bare frame and fierce cold, the sporty resurrection of the historic building was an almost festive event.
The well-known international star Rudi Ball again open the new era of the sport Palace"

Not a very good quality (I recommend to skip the first about five minutes), but here is U18 European Championship "Final" from 1978 (1977-1978) between Finland and USSR. Not a game with great historical importance, but there are few players like Kurri, Krutov and Larionov at the start of their career.

I am trying hard to find wha game footage. there seems to be very little of it out there.
A WHA related short film on the Nordiques that might be of some interest to you if you haven't seen it before

NFB has the 1972 film "Just Another Job" on their site. Some interesting stuff once you get past the unusual 1 1/2 minute intro. The actual Nordique game footage is around 12:34 - 12:56 against the Blazers, and towards the end of the film is some of their first home game against the Oilers.

You Tube

and on the NFB site:

Haven't really looked yet for WHA but here's one game - Quebec @ Cleveland Feb 2, 1975 in b&w.

Battle of Quebec Game 7 Adams division final 1985

The Whale take on the Habs in a Game 7 of an Adams division semifinal from 1992.

Btw, RIP Jim Roberts, the Whalers coach in 1992 who passed away recently.

Is there anyway of watching games from the early 2000's? I know NHL vault has the past 5 seasons available but I was wondering about the games before that. Thanks!

Theokritos, is is still "under construction"?? I (and many others) are eager to see more recent games. Thanks in advance.

Yes, there will be more games added. Right now the top 50 Non-NHL Europeans project is consuming a lot of my time, that's why I haven't been adding anything recently.

In my spare time I do video archive work and this week we have discovered a gem.

A complete 5 reel kinescope on 16m film of a game played February 13, 1960 between Montreal at Boston as it was seen on CBS Sports. The film was found at US Armed Forces Television in Germany. Fred Cusick did the play by play and Brian McFarlane on color.

The next step is finding telecine time to covert the film to video.

The quality is excellent and it includes commercials. The recording was made at WBBM-TV in Chicago.

I will upload it to You Tube as soon as possible.

This game means a lot to me as by chance it was the first hockey game I ever saw in person. (Yes I'm old)

British Movietone on You Tube has some hockey clips.

From the scores mentioned and the mentioning of Victoria winning the previous 4 years, this is very likely a clip from the third and final game of the 1969 Goodall Cup with New South Wales beating Victoria:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP7XQ5xTlm4

AP Archive on You Tube also has some clips.

West Germany beating East Germany for qualification into the what I am making a half educated guess as being the 1956 Olympics (couple sites have Nov 16, 1955 as West Germany beating East Germany 7-3 in a qualifier) .

It could be 1963 as well. There, a second game was played in the same venue, also being won by West Germany:

The second link for this entry is a Leafs clip, not the Habs:

1954 (April) Detroit, Montreal Detroit Red Wings vs Montreal Canadiens (4-3 games) 1954 Stanley Cup Finals 23:23, 10:44 (incl. interviews)

Anyone have good quality footage of mid-late 90s regular season full games?

I found playoff games but couldn't really find much int erms of regular season games especially for 96/97. Found some torrents of Chicago ones but pretty bad quality.

Not sure if this link is allowed because this is some kind of shop. (mods can delete it if it against rule)

Footage from Detroit Cougars-New York Rangers 17. Nov 29 ?
http://www.efootage.com/stock-footage/54678/Cougars_Vs_Rangers_Hockey_-_1929/

That was second game of the season for Rangers and Cougars. Also one of the first games in NHL history where players were allowed forward passing in the offensive zone.

The most striking thing in these early footages is how the defencemans are playing the game. Thats some stay at home defending.

Same can be seen in these old footages filmed from same angle.

Rangers training from 1933? (I believe it might be from earlier years)

Critical Past site has a handful of old hockey video clips - on their site and on You Tube.

Providence Scarlets vs New York Metropolitans (Atlantic Hockey League - 1947)

I checked it out and it was great, but now the link seems to be dead.

Indeed. The same can be observed in other early clips from the sticky

That one has already been there in the sticky for quite some time.

I've been digging around on stock footage sites (Getty Images, for one), and I've come across several hockey clips. The best one I've found is historicfilms.com. There's a quite a bit of footage of O6 era games as well as this (starting at the 40:20 mark), apparently from 1919:

http://historicfilms.com/search/?q=VM-521b#p1t9308i0o5201.04

I am quite amazed by the clarity of the footage. No idea who the teams are though.
