What happened to the Historic Video Footage thread? It seems like all the post-1938 clips have disappeared.

Ya, as Hobbs mentioned above, it certainly appears that a considerable amount of live & archived materials were lost in migration, Theo & others more technically astute than I have been busy manually retrieving, importing what they can back into this new operating system, and just what cant be I know not at this time.... Needless to say, extremely disappointing, frankly disturbing to think of what might be lost permanently given the efforts & time invested by so many. Hopefully much of it can & will be retrieved in the near future.... Not much of an answer I guess but that all I know, been told.

Actually the entirety of all clips has disappeared since the migration respectively its aftermath has killed all tabled content. I've started restoring it manually though and 1938 is how far I've come at this point. You can expect one year after the other to reappear over the course of the upcoming weeks.

I just came across this clip from Library and Archives Canada of the 1924 Winter Olympics. It has other sports as well, but from the 9 minute mark it shows the Canada-US gold medal game (the game itself starts at about 10:00).

I may be wrong, but I don’t think this 1933 Leafs/Rangers footage is included in the video resource thread.

Actually a pretty good watch, in terms of action and video quality. One thing that’s immediately striking is that it seems like a stick-swinging incident is going to happen 2 or 3 different times.

That’s King Clancy getting lit up at the end.

I watched this game last night.

Howe is a tenacious forechecker. Great shot. Great defensive awareness. Looks quick for 37.

Hull looks like an absolute star, just flying down the ice. Visually, he looks to be in a class of his own.

Esposito and Mikita look good, but not great. Much more impressed with Pilote. Mikita seems to alternate between really strong possession plays and looking disinterested.

Delvechhio looks better than I expected. Detroit's depth was poor.

Lindsay an absolute rat.

I was impressed by Gadsby. Bailed out Crozier a number of times.

Hall looked strong too.
